Old school meets new school.
I just got a Microcosm by Hologram Electronics and was wondering what it would sound like with my old M400 Mellotron plugged into it.
Just noodling.
Turning knobs.
Video is not synced with the audio.
Mellotron tapes (Ordered from Sound Sales back in the early 1980s) used...
French Horn (Solo)
Brass (Trumpet, Trombone & Sax in unison)
Woodwind Section (Bassoon, Oboe, Flute)
This Mellotron can be heard on our Neutral Earth albums.

With headphones it's a little easier to hear what is Mellotron and what the Microcosm is adding.
All Mellotron parts start with a solo sound (French Horn, Brass, Woodwind) panned in the center with no Microcosm effects. After the glorious Mellotron starts each section, all the additional sounds that follow are the magnificent Microcosm doing its magical thing it does.
In the first section the solo French Horn starts and the Microcosm adds a choir like stereo shimmer.
Part two is a bit more difficult as the harsh Brass starts and the Microcosm adds some brassy organ sounding swells and arpeggio's. As well as the last two organ beeps when the cat appears.
Part three starts with Woodwind and the Microcosm adds a lower octave stereo pipe organ type reverb sound.
