This is actually super cool. Really opened my eyes to how music actually works. Thank you so much for posting this.

Amazing basic introduction for beginners thank you sir I assume this is also applied to the rest of the modes too and I also notice that release notes is your triad too I wonder why on 7th chords has a tension note the 7th but sounds better more release notes and less the tension notes the better? Maybe their is something to the chords with the circle of 5ths too

It is about the cycle of 5ths, which is about physics. Ultimately tension (dissonance) and resolution (consonance) is about the relationship (ratio) between different wave frequencies.

Helpful video, but unfortunately the distorted audio makes the musical demonstrations unlistenable.

Thanks for the comment. As I have pointed out this was really just for my own students before I got hold of anything useful for video production at home during lockdown. Glad you found it helpful. Once you internalise some of these concepts you start to really understand what drives music.

Tip, You want your presentation to be clean and in the video you was smacking your mouth alot. I don't know if its a contest on youtube on who can do it the loudest but i almost couldn't watch the video its annoying to the ears

Eh? Don’t remember smacking my mouth? Who does that? Anyway if you don’t like it, you don’t haven’t to watch it. This was just some lectures I had to do online back in the covid days and thought others might like to see it. 😂

@@johnpill1Nothing wrong with that. Just smacking your mouth just is annoying its one of those things if you want people to actually listen it would be helpful if you didnt. I couldn't even watch the whole video it was getting annoying. It seems like the trend on youtube and people getting louder with it
