Has anyone else noticed that Men I Trust is in some way channelling and augmenting and even improving upon the energy and emotions of Portishead. Pretty cool. Portishead is one of my favs and now Men I Trust is as well.
@meadish

I love both bands, but emotionally they give me very different vibes. Portishead is the beauty of intense despair, longing and mystery in rain and darkness. Men I trust is more like golden hour bittersweet but with a sensual groove and the awareness that no matter how beautiful and euphoric right now is, it can not be held on to.

I enjoyed, last year of 2021, a much good psychedelic trip with while listening to this musical album that I really enjoyed much and felt good euphoric feelings of using drugs during this trip which I was much glad to have kept this album downloaded for; this was all much good and happily helped inspire me more to want to live more with my good introspective thinking of this psychedelic trip that was an important pilgrimage that was good for supporting my more happier good spiritual health yet also was an importantly good milestone of my more good enjoying more of good psychedelic feelings, during, that I needed. Psychedelia is good and this music always had good feelings with it.

1. Morse Code Night loots us of our time Hints of defeat through me Yielding to one final pun And shared flashing glaze But our will stays cloaked As we take a step back Our hearts talking low A fading Morse code But our will stays cloaked As we take a step back Our hearts talking low A fading Morse code "Quick!", says a darting bird Fierce is nature’s way Trophies bared up high Strong men do have firm grips And though I seize the high-prized advise Distracted by labor and wraiths I just can’t set my mind with it Keeping me away from heap And our will stays cloaked As we take a step back Our hearts talking low A fading Morse code And our will stays cloaked As we take a step back Our hearts talking low A fading Morse code. 2. Break for Lovers 3:24 Let’s lay down our masks And be true So that our eyes Be bound in affection Aware of our lust And our shared trust We can know each other And hear nature’s words My dear friend But let’s not talk this through (I used to) Cause long words widen gaps between lovers We ought to be lone, my home’s your own Until we have each other we’re strangers I know there’s a reason We use such curves Riddles in smiles Rather than small talk I know we both want Things to be done In a truthful manner There lies our rest My dear friend Let’s not talk this through (I used to) Cause long words widen gaps between lovers We ought to be lone, my home’s your own Until we have each other we’re strangers Let’s not talk this through (I used to) Cause long words widen gaps between lovers We ought to be lone, my home’s your own Until we have each other we’re strangers Let’s not talk this through... 3. Out of Myself 6:27 In need of some time out A haven for insight Mind a self-aware thought In dread cabalist night I hear a standing rumble In expansion and contraction Our mutual awe is subtle Delicate in higher action Relax Are those thoughts sincere? I Relax My inner tone is clear Relax Are those thoughts sincere? I Relax Rare witness of my sphere Loves I found delightful Poised in any likely way Pulses I know are joyful They never caused dismay I hear a standing rumble In expansion and contraction Our mutual awe is subtle Delicate in higher action Relax Are those thoughts sincere? I Relax My inner tone is clear Relax Are those thoughts sincere? I Relax Rare witness of my sphere 4. Again 10:17 A trail looks even Rising with ease And it's gradually stretching In fair daylight view As cool winds Bare my vague thoughts, A quiet journey I embrace again, Oh I embrace again Slowed my pace down (Somatic burden) I see a wide sphere A table I thought Things now look idle Leaving reserved Sparsely aware Of this new lapse As cool winds Bare my vague thoughts, A quiet journey I embrace again, Oh I embrace again As cool winds Bare my vague thoughts, A quiet journey I embrace again, Oh I embrace again 5. Quiet 14:06 Easy and composed Retired in some place Containing its mood From urging its pace Shoulders and neck Are much more at rest When numbers are small And grasp you, I shall And then I breathe Intone And I rest… Alone, I breathe Intone And I rest… Fingers clap. Snap! Was it my turn, Add my tepid talk To the rowdy flock? I care only to loose Myself in reserve If waves around clash I leave in mild thoughts And then I breathe Intone And I rest… Alone, I breathe Intone And I rest… 6. Curious Fish 17:30 Glass too thick couldn’t see through, I’ve been waiting something new But it felt true My heart is true Curious fish sought distant light; Shiny trophies caught its sight I fell to love I’m fond of love As if limestone wore my heed, It seemed fair to trust this lead But it felt true My heart is true Blushing means I know too well Fish meets light from its lone shell I fell to love I’m fond of love 7. Aquarelle 20:18 Is your house all made of stone? 'Heard the view's quite high but lone (You're on your own) Mailman once again hands empty, and mail free Who won't speak to me? Spotlights pass short thy Driveway, halfway (halfway) Who won't dare to stay? 'Brought my scarf, won't catch a cold Place is windy, I've been told (You're getting old) 'Brought my scarf, won't catch a cold Place is windy, I've been told (You're on your own) Mailman once again hands empty, and mail free (mail free) Who won't speak to me?
