I finished all my degrees, Masters and MBA (Ivy league) - real estate portfolio, building stock investment account up to $5 million, global travel, triathlons, girls around the world, building various businesses up and at 42 had 1st kid. That way had achieved everything i wanted (mainly) before having a kid so I could focus and get finnacially independent 1st. Now have a nanny helper, PA and send kids private boarding school. I don't think guys should have a scarcity mindset and sure, guys can sire children well into old age (with some deterioration later on). However, if you're looking to be the best man you can be, try to be the best dad you can be also. Being a father can be very rewarding, but you need the energy and youthful mindset to make the most of it. I had kids when I was 32 and 34, and often wished I had started earlier - and I was very active with cardio, weights, and martial arts. Plus think about the back side also -- I'll be almost 57 when my youngest finishes college and will need some time before retirement to recover from helping them with college, even though I started saving early (if I had waited to 45 for kids I'd already be retirement age while they were in college). Also think about whether you want your grandkids to know you -- may not be important to you at 25, but as you mature most people realize that family is almost all that matters, the rest is mostly just shiny objects.

For the record, there is a higher rate of Autism found in middle-aged fathers, and that probability does increase every year after 35. With women, there is a higher probability of the child being born with Down Syndrome, and it increases every year after 35 for a woman. Please Google both to verify the statisticstical studies.

Yup. Men and woman are both human made of the same proteins and DNA. Autism is the male version of Down's Syndrome. We simply accumulate more mutations as we age. Hi Rich, Thanks for all the time you put into your channel. Some great videos and some excellent advice for men of all ages. So, a little story about fatherhood ..... or lack of ! When I was 18, I came down with mumps, and it really messed me up. I was pretty sick, and when I was given the all clear from the doctor he said I should get a sperm test, and mumps at 18 can do some pretty big damage to the viability of your sperm. Well, turns out he was right, from the age of 18 onwards I was shooting blanks. Sometimes people do recover later in life, but I wasn't one of those. So, I took no precautions whatsoever. During this time, I mostly hooked up (I was in the gym 3 or 4 times a week and always in shape) and had no problem getting the girls I wanted. I also had pretty good career, and I was earning way more than my peers. Which helped 🙂 One of the girls I was dating, invited me over one night. And showed me her pregnancy test and announce I was to be a Dad ! So, I then tell her it could not have been me, and explained why. Her face dropped. Two weeks later she's aborted it. I saw her sometime later, and she told me who the dad was, and I knew him. Basically a looser, and had no cash, no job. Over the next 5 or 6 years this happened to me 4 more times. I was told I was the father, when it was not possible for me to be the father. They all ended the same way, once they knew I could not be trapped they all aborted. Honestly, after the 5th one I decided it was just easier to let them know the score in advance, the ones with baby rabies run away. Plus I felt complicit in the aborted pregnancies, it was just starting to get me down. I know the numbers have to kept quiet, because if men really knew just how devious women are they'd never have kids. Ever ! If you get put on the hook for a baby, get it tested as soon as you can just for your peace of mind.

I'm a man and I hope to have kids before I reach 40. Our biological clocks last longer than women's, but it's better to have a kid sooner instead of later. Both of my parents were 40+ when I was born and I think it's a horrible idea for people to have kids that late in life. Aside from college, I've had to take care of my mom since I graduated HS and I lost my dad a little over 2 yrs ago. I feel like I'm in my early 50s or early 60s instead of early 30s. I don't want my kids to know what it's been like for me. Caregiving has destroyed my life. I have no social life anymore. I haven't been out of town for over 5 yrs. And I'm hoping caregiving hasn't destroyed my chances at finding work and getting married/having kids. All my peers from HS and college are married and have kids.

The genetic abnormalities post 40 tend to be blamed on women however, you have to consider that almost all of those women are paired with men that are older than them. Women have a biologic clock but men have a retirement clock. You don't really want to be raising kids in your 60s. It's going to be hard to retire and put your kid through college at the same time. I know this from experience. I had a child at 49. When he graduates form high school, I'll be 67. From college, 71. That's grandpa age, not father age. I've experienced a huge drop in energy level during my 50s and 60s. I was a much better father to the child I had at 40. It takes 23 years and $400,000 to raise a child from conception to college graduation. Try saving for retirement and put your kid through college at the same time. Take 60 and subtract 23 which equals 37 and that's how old a man should be when he has his last child. Or, your kid should be at least 18 when you are 60 which means you should have your last kid at 42. Don't make the mistake of having a child too late in life. You might regret it. Forget about your golden years because you are going to be working. Even worse, you'll probably die before your grandchildren are born.

It doesn't take the financial figures the media states - that is propaganda programming by the State and to push turning father's into indentured servants. Not should a parent Have to be supporting them to age 23. Colleges are HIGHLY OVERRATED and an utterly broken system to the degree where military or community college is better at this point. Most the dudes and convo is about first time father's compared to having one at 49 after having one 9 years earlier. Also odds are the lady wasn't 49 but still kind of laid the trap. And yes 71 is grandparent age but if one has a 22 year old then of course. By the same logic 49 *is* a parent age.

Spend 4 years learning bullshit or focus on one subject learning all aspects of it. Certifications are more valuable than a degree and it doesn't take as much time or cost as much. That’s actually quite selfish. Not only will he not be around for his kids when they gets older, but you’re actually exposing your children to more genetic abnormalities. Yes their are outliers, but I think if you want children doing it before you hit 40 is a pretty reasonable thing to want. To be honest I'd have rather been done before 35. Age will catch up with you eventually, the later you leave it the less time you will have to enjoy your children, your legacy and your family. Sure it could all get destroyed, you may not get death until you part but that can happen regardless of age. I think using your 20s to work out what you want from life is very important though.

It’s selfish to be a parent young for most people, how many people actually have their life together at 18? It’s unfair to the child and most people’s family because the child ends up with less than they deserve growing up or either your family has to provide what you can’t. I see a lot of young people who’s children are pretty much getting raised by grandparents instead of mom and dad, simply because mom and dad don’t have their life together.

Although my father hasn't had any health issues, he's always been way too tired to do any of those things with me. That's why I'd rather by a dad by 30 or my early 30s.

No. As a man, having kids at 40+ is not as good. Sperm health is not as strong/potent. Common sense. Don't listen to the whole... do it over 40. Idiots. Use your 20-25 to f around. 25-30 to f around with intentions of finding a great partner. 28-35 optimum time for men to have kids. Going past 35 things start to slowly decrease. Many weak men who wasted time preach to have kids over 40 because that's what they did. The older you are, the weaker your sperm is. Anything/one who says otherwise, doesn't know shit. Yes, you may be 65 and healthy kids if your wife is young. Yes. But why gamble with your own kids life.

Dude if your sole purpose is to pop out a kid just on the idea of having a grandkid you’re the selfish one and thinking about it the wrong way. Just saying. Who is to tell you when you should and shouldn’t, decide for yourself. The worst shit in life is for other people to tell you how YOU should run your own camp. Get outta here with that nonsense. I respect opinions and good discourse but the whining is just BS. If you’re a man at 16 and have a kid. Do your job step up to the plate raise the kid. If you’re 60 and have one step up do your job. Why would you want to sire children into your 50's? You will never get to see them grow and develop and see your grandchildren if you are fortunate enough to have them. Do you not care that your children will be missing the support of a grandfather for their kids? Also there is a link between autism when the father is older no matter how old the mother. Stats even show there may be a greater link between autism the larger the age gap. Men don't like being told they're not father material either, just a heads up. They really don't like it. They become really defensive and won't let it go. So you just have to let them down gently. But people be people right? My dad is 16 years older than my mum. My dad had me and my siblings late 30's early 40's. It wasn't a good idea. All I did was worry about his health. Even though he is really healthy. Telling your friends in school that your dad is as old as there grandad does not make children feel secure. I'd never date an older man after seeing what has happened with my family. You cant prevent ageing. Maybe extend a decade if you are very healthy and lucky but that's not the norm. Also my brother has just had his second baby and my dad will never see her grow into an adult or be there for her like the grandad she would want. I lost my paternal grandad when I was 11 and it hurt a lot but expected due to his age. And my maternal grandfather was just unlucky and died young so I had no grandfather. Do you want to do this intentionally to your kids?? It caused problems at important part of my education, there are so many knock on effects to the idea men can have children at any age. We all have ADHD and health problems even though my mother was young and very healthy, still is. Asthma, allergies, bowl problems and random deformities. Like me and my sister have missing rib bones and deformed sinuses. Minor issues per se but the older we get we develop more. My brothers kids have health problems too. So I think its not just your kids you are effecting but your kids kids. Please don't be so naïve that just because you believe yourself to be an Alpha you wont have these problems. And don't be so selfish as to not care that your grandkids wont have a grandad. My kids may never meet my dad.
