Pretty excited to see how your additional updates turn out! I watched your other videos, and I love how you refer to your car as a shed hahaha. I recently purchased 2.3-16 imported from Europe in '85 to here in the US. It's awesome to have new videos coming out about maintenance like this.

Nice to meet another fellow here in the US with a euro specs 190e 2.3-16. Where are you located if you don't mind sharing?

Just did this job on my US market 2.3-16. Awesome to see maintenance videos related to this platform. Keep up the good work.

Very nice video. And timely as I need to get this work done on mine. The one difference is I need to replace my cams as wear is evident on the cam lobes. When doing this work, I was planning on releasing tension on the chain. It seems that is not necessary. I have measured valve lash and similar to yours, some measurements were lower than specifications, and I do not understand how the measurement would decrease. If the parts are wearing, I would expect the measurement to increase.

Hi. Greetings from Brazil! Your video is perfect. I need to do this job on my 2.3 16v, but here nobody knows how to do! I have a question, because we do not have these motorcycles in our country: 13mm are the shims diameter? Here, I see 7.48; 8.55; 8.90; 9.48...

Yes they're 13mm but you can double check when you remove them anyway as you won't know which thickness you will need to replace with until you have them out. Glad you found the video useful and appreciate you watching.
