I have had my B200 CDi (AMG line Sport) for 4 years now and have been delighted. Achieved 72 mpg on a 320 mile drive from Cornwall and 53.2mpg on a drive back from Saalbach Austria of 654 miles in 11:12 hrs at average of 58 mph - many miles were at 100mph or above and 135 (by sat nav) at one point on Autobahn. I have now covered just over 20,000 miles at on overall average of 54.6 mpg.

Much easier to get in an out, I should know I also have a 2006 B Class collected from Rastatt, however my wife still prefers the old model with a higher driving position (Mind you she is only 5'2") I would never claim the car to be the best looker on the block, but it is so practical taking 2 bikes in rear (with seats down) Amazing MPG (B200CDi AMG Sport) 72 MPG over 325 miles, 135mph (Genuine sat-nav 140 Speedo on AutoBahn near Munich) and near 20,000 miles overall 52.3 mpg It's a Pocket Rocket when needed (Don't put it in 'Sport Mode' unless prepared) but will give you years of great service. Great car for towing a Caravan as rear wheels are, well at rear. Very little overhang. Fantastic Torque with Diesel Engines, it will pull up a 1:50 gradient in 7th Gear at 1450rpm towing at 60mph

Loads of room in rear 3 adults can sit in reasonable comfort. Very good 'trunk' (boot) in fact my son loaning to go on holiday as he finds he can't get all his stuff in the Golf R trunk he's just bought. I told him but he didn't listen !

Sorry you didn't like the review Umberto. A final decision on buying should never be based on someone else's review so we hope you'll be happy with your choice. And if you chose the Sport version, we hope you don't hit any potholes ;-)

Mate, don't be stupid we can't base a car purchase solely based on the state of Britain's roads. What would we drive?

Brits no longer have to drive European cars. Now they can drive Hondas and Toyotas. A Honda CRV has reliable driving that puts a B Class in the shade.

The British emphasis more on car looks and interiors. They don't mention anything about the engine reliability, faults and performances. Look the engine is equally important.

Thanks for your comment. We take your point - but it's worth noting that this is a new car review, so we tend to focus on performance, running costs, practicality, style, etc. We address the issues you mention separately in buying guides (sorry, not videos), eg: www.newcarnet.co.uk/buying-guides-content/2015/12/2/mercedes-b-class-2005-2012 Hope that makes sense.
