Father, I am convinced to imbibe your teaching is to be hallowed unto Theosis.

ACNA is separated from TEC and not a part of the Anglican Communion.

But it is in communion with the Global South isn't it? I thought it was in the Communion but impaired with TEC. I suppose, however, the Anglican Communion is in a state of flux given the issues at stake. If there is a formal separation, then one might ask legitimately whether there is such a thing as the Anglican Communion.

@Warwickensis As far as I am of the understanding , you are correct regarding global south and also gafcon. The whole big thing is an ugly mess that it seems like nobody actually wants to stand up and address. But to my mind acting like nothing's wrong is the worst course of action.

Personally, I have no problem with women priests; but politics is divisive by its very nature. The moment you start trying get politically held views to inform your theology, then it stands to that you will divide the church. As has happened. A 50/50 split of Orthodox v Liberal, you pick a side and you lose half your congregation. When the political winds shift, as they are with growth of antiwoke groups across Europe, it means that the if you have picked the eventual loser, you are left high and dry. I struggle with the idea that orthopraxy can inform orthodoxy. On what basis, or philosophical worldview are you basing your orthopraxy? To a feminist, doing the right thing can be different to the right thing from an orthodox Christian worldview; if one takes the feminist approach, then how can they claim to be followers of Christ? Further to that, you are right about Theosis. Since I discovered it about a year ago, I have been captivated by it. Lost count of the books and articles I have read about it. It is probably the only thing that can bridge the divide. Instead of looking left and right, look upward.

Well, to be fair, orthopraxy informing orthodoxy is not a view that I, as an Anglican Catholic, can defend but it is something that appears in Anglican literature such as Paul Elmen in The Study of Anglicanism or the writings of Colin Coward. The idea that politics informs theology is a consequence that the "right thing to do" is external to the revelation of the Church and that the latter's theology is therefore shaped by this "right thing to do." As I say (and write in my book Anglican Catholic Moral theology) Theosis is the third cord that binds Orthodoxy and Orthopraxy together in the same way that the being of God binds the "is" to the "ought".
