Finally got mine in a few days ago. Love text view personally to have access to all the parameters I need with all of the knobs. Just got one, it's all that and more so far. Here's how bad I wanted this once I watched a few demo videos. I had a killer fuzz pedal that I'd just bought, that was still within the return window. I returned it to help pay for the LVX. I've NEVER gotten rid of a fuzz pedal in my life before, but I don't regret it one bit. This is my first Meris pedal, and it's fantastic.

Just got mine and have it in a W/D/W rig…it sounds insanely good…with clean, dirty, or all out distorted tones. Cannot overstate how great this thing sounds…definitely zero concerns about coloring or wrecking the original dry tone. I’ve already spent hours just playing and tweaking about a half dozen presets…very inspiring and pleasing results. Stereo chain is H9>Volante>LVX, which is in the stereo loop of an HX Effects. H9 CEO Chorus into Volante long drum delay into LVX Preset 1 into HX Dynamic Plate or Hall…hard to describe how good it is in w/d/w. This pedal plays well with other pedals like I said above. It also sounds great with all levels of dirt/drive/distortion without sounding digital. Really reminds me of a super high end rack unit like a Lexicon…Meris should get one of these in Pat Metheny’s hands. Truly an amazing piece of engineering and art all wrapped up in a very well thought out package.

This is frankly amazing in its scope. You've really outdone yourselves, Meris! I worry that this many parameters and functions might be a bit too overwhelming for such a simple structure. The UI seems to be very well thought out but it's impossible to conceive of all the possibilities from any individual screen. I hope you're able to make some kind of preset editor software like TC Electrinic's Toneprint App. It was much more limited in its ambition than your effect but it also provided an opportunity to see every facet of their presets on a single page of visual UI. If not, I still have to applaud this. LVX looks like a true testament to your "play your effects" philosophy.

Interesting. Your design is getting close to how I think "Multi-Effects Processor Units" should be designed. Currently, many such units overwhelm us with numerous parameters that must be individually set. This is inefficient, wastes times, and results in less than optimal results. The option of a good, large, touch-sensitive graphical interface could provide an excellent and cognitively satisfying solution. Venn diagram overlapping bubbles would allow the user to adjust multiple parameters at the same time. The other key component to make that an efficient design, would be to make the unit so it could take a short (few second) representative loop of the example being played. This would allow the user to stop playing, thus freeing up their hands to move the Venn bubbles, or turn parameter knobs, while the example is modified while looping. This would allow them to quickly dial in the sound they actually want. At that point, the user could then save their settings as a Preset for future use. Really speaking, I don't need 20 different Delays, Reverbs, Overdrives, Distortions, Choruses, etc., designed/optimized to work on someone else's gear. I end up creating a few Presets with my favorite settings, and I think that's what most musicians do. The other thing I like doing is experimenting to create novel sounds, but the design of Effect Processors is cumbersome. I currently use an HX Stomp, but wish it had a user interface as I've described. Good luck on your product. I think you're on the right path. 😎

Not sure if the step is too high from my dying Digitech DPS8000. I need the hands-on parameters for example playing with the speed of a recorded loop. Is this possible with the LVX?
Hi, beautiful inspiring instrument you’ve created. A couple of questions: how many effects can be used at the same time? It is possibile to place effects in different spots of the signal chain or they are all grouped in one spot (i.e. can I have a preamp and compressor on the clean while having a modulation after delays and a pitch in the feedback loop)? Please let me know, thanks.
@MerisUs
Жыл бұрын
Along with the Delays, you have the following categories of processing elements: Preamps, Dynamics, Filters, Pitch Effects, Modulations, and Looper that can all run at the same time. Each category has its own location and can be moved independently of each other. So yes, you can have a preamp and compressor in the Pre+Dry location, a modulation in the Post location, and Pitch in the Feedback location no problem. - Angelo

LVX is the name of a robot, as far as I know, his name uses the old graphic style of the latin word LVX, which must be read "lux", meaning the "light". In music we have many composition, for example "lux aeterna", that the old latin graphic style had written LVX AETERNA. So, it is not an acronim.
