Unfortunately this is even more relevant today than it was then- fantastic song, Merle will always be at the top of my list. The best part to me in this live recording, is you can not only hear the anger in his voice, but you can SEE it in his face. Like he’s double dog daring somebody to set fire to Old Glory. Do it, see what happens! 🇺🇸

I have had Hag sing this as I set their tears streaming down my face. He said that's why it isn't in my shows much Kelly. Are you alright. I said yes sir.

Damn, this song is more than relevant now....no one listed to him 30 years ago,,,,hoping we aren't where he sang about back then....but, it's hard to hear this song and feel it could be sung right now....God Bless the USA and ol' Merle and the crippled soldiers!

A most beautiful song. Heart wrenching, Thankyou to all veterans for your service alive and on the other side, both women and men and front line workers. Nurses, Doctors, Undertakers, and all the people I have not mentioned. You know who you are. Thank you, Aussie Jim Down Under.
