[Recorded 18/8/23] Today I bring you some quick rides on 3 lifts in Dundee city centre, at least one of which I have posted here before! One of these lifts is messed up, one has a reasonably decent motor to it and the other has a new mod!
We start with the lift that keeps messing up and it's of course the Seabraes Footbridge iMEM Stannah lift with its impressions of the Stirling Kleemanns! And surprise surprise it's still doing it! I do wonder what the problem is that causes it to do this, as not pressing the close button will prevent the issue from occurring to any big degree, but the more you press close the more it'll repeat the message before actually closing. It's a very strange issue and even more odd is it only happens with the one set of doors and not both!
We then head over to Next in the retail park near the Olympia Leisure Centre and as is standard for Next we have an Oakland. This one does run pretty well however, not too jolty and not rattly like a lot of them can be. Definitely up there in terms of ride quality versus others I've seen, and it doesn't have too bad a motor to it either!
Finally we head to Boots and a very strange mod occurrence has happened. Both the customer and goods lifts have been modded but they have not received the same mod! From looking at the exterior of it, the goods lift appears to have been given a Hydroware mod, but the customer lift has this different logic and indicators! I probably would have preferred the Hydroware mod lol, would have been more efficient than what they did put in this lift. These used to have Schindler branded panels with Dewhurst buttons but that in itself was likely a mod of something even older, no clues as to what that was though.

Additionally, please don't cut up sounds from my videos to use in any form of simulated lift or the like. It's easy to go out and record a sound the way you want it rather than taking someone else's, and it'll be more satisfying for everything about a creation to be entirely yours. So yeah, recording your own is better.
