They added a gravity attribute! It's currently in snapshots, but we're trying it out anyway, and it's awesome! We experiment with giving mobs various gravities and we prototype a gravity system for the player when they're in the space dimension we created last episode.
Extra Stuff:
- Didn't even notice it, but I got a brown panda! Those are super rare and I didn't even realize I had one. 🤣
- I've never messed with pandas much before, and so it wasn't until after the episode that I learned they need a bamboo block to breed, not just the item.
- So for the pathfinding while under the effect of zero-g, the mobs need blocks underneath them (can be three blocks below and still count) for the pathfinding to totally work. The OnGround tag still needs applied, so both have to be true. That's why the pandas moved when I built up near them, but not when all the blocks were gone. It's also why the silverfish worked flawlessly since they were spawned on top of blocks and tried to pathfind to other solid blocks.
Command Block Survival is a gamemode where every command has a self-imposed price. It allows crafting of certain creative mode items (the recipe is part of the price) and adds an entirely new dimension of creativity!
