What a great collection of gold coins and pre decimal coins. You have found a very productive site. I like the remains of the Zephyr Mark 2 Matchbox / Dinky car. Thank you for posting a very enjoyable video!

Thankyou , yes this particular spot has been amazing the amount of coins I’ve pulled out , I was told that someone had gridded the place with a detector in the 80-90s but I’ve pulled at least 50 + pre decimals from here possibly more 😅 Haha congratulations on the shilling :) Happy detecting

Sorry just seen your comment, been a bit busy lately and haven’t kept track of KZitem 😅 I generally just wash them with soap and water and then with a stiff dry brush ( like a nail brush or similar) give them a vigorous brush, this brings the shine back into them , most people will say you don’t clean them and if it’s a rare date with any value then yes it’s best not to clean them but most coins you find are really not worth much so they look a lot nicer a bit cleaner for sure 😄😄 some people use vinegar on copper coins. But just be aware it’s a acid and not to leave them too long, if you can find a few old beat up pennys you care less about maybe try any experiments with them first 😂😂 but personally I just use a brush, some clean up beautifully some don’t , just depends on the coin condition :) hope this helps and happy detecting 😁 👍🏼

Very good finds mate. It's a shame ground was toxic to coins. I was looking for new detector, ( I'm using vanquish 540 ) and come across new ex-terra pro. I was waching reviews and what I see that thing looking pretty good especially considering the price of $ 529.00. My kids already ordered for me so I can't wait to get it and put it to the test. What do you thing about this machine considering it's single frequency unit? Cheers

Thankyou :) yes the copper’s especially don’t agree with certain soils. The equinox was the first decent detector I bought and I’ve still got it 😁 so I don’t really know what other detectors are like. You will have to tell me how it goes when it arrives 😂😂😂 I usually always detect in multi frequency except if I’m getting really bad interference then I’ll drop out, A good person to ask would be the Coffee bush kid, he has a channel on here and he used to have a ex-terra of some sort before he got the nox 😁 Hope you enjoy your new detector when it comes 👍🏼

great finds mate well done. you use an 800 right? What settings if you dont mind sharing? Cheers
@Digging_Kangaroo
Жыл бұрын
Thankyou :) yes I have the 800 My settings are pretty basic, I use field 1 , if I’m detecting at a rubbishy site like this I usually notch out to 15 and after a while when I get tired of the sound of pull tabs I’ll notch right up to 17. Usually my swing speed is on 5 Sensitivity I normally run top notch at 25 , unless there’s too much chatter or interference then I’ll drop it back a few And I think everything else is pretty standard settings , I’ve had good results so I’m happy :) thanks for watching

Hi. How do you tell that a reserve is not a nature reserve and metal detecting is allowed?
@Digging_Kangaroo

This is just a recreation area around a sports field, if it’s a nature reserve usually it’s well signed telling you so

@@Digging_Kangaroo I just started with the hobby and trying to find reserves near me where I can go legally. There are many areas with “reserve” in the name but I want to figure out which are not nature reserves

@@quochuync yes sometimes it’s difficult to know if you can detect or not , if they are not labeled as national parks or heritage areas or have signs with heaps of restrictions then I think you should be fine , if you leave holes as tidy as you can and remove the rubbish you dig then I don’t think anyone is going to mind , at worst I think they would just ask you to move on :) most public parks and recreational areas are fine as long as you leave everything neat 👍🏼 happy detecting

You don't get any Karen's complaining about digging? I'd probably only use a small hand digger at a site like that and try to avoid eye contact with everyone
@Digging_Kangaroo
Жыл бұрын
Haha no not as yet , I make sure everything is tidy when I’m done usually you cant hardly tell where I’ve dug, problem is the ground here is sometimes like concrete and I gave up on the little shovel pretty quickly, this shovel is pretty narrow and if the target is easy enough to find and all goes well it’s really no different to a little shovel just easier to use :) in this dry non grass dirt I’m not as worried about digging a bit bigger , only had good comments so far, apart from one old man saying gruffly that I wouldn’t find much around here 😂 I just laughed and didn’t enlighten him :)
