What a useful tool! Thank you for showing us how it's used and how it's sharpened!

Great blade type explanation. I love me a little grindy grind.

The kindling cracker also has a curved blade which helps initial penetration compared to the straight one on the homemade splitter.

Ha! So helpful! Explains why my new kindling cracker "bounces" my kindling! Thank you!

Thank you for wearing safety glasses! (That is just my gripe about people not protecting their eyes. Thank you for listening, lol.)

I have been enjoying these videos lately. It would be nice to just be able to hear Paul, instead of also the noises from the person holding the camera

Noises? I don't understand. I think samantha did a great job of drawing me into the video and her commentary was really good - especially about the pie.

How do you keep the young ones motivated to work? I have a hard time with the younger generation. Some use ideological buzzwords to make excuses for hard work.

You mean SKIP? The people (may or may not be young) either do it or they don't. The people that do it get verified and get certified. The people that don't do it are ignored. The end.

I would have split from the other end. Generally, wood splits better "up" the tree than "down" the tree. If you had, you would not be able to talk about your splitter blade...
