@@pickamaterina1313 The information about Rio is usually the total festival goers. Guns'n'Roses managed to play in front of over 250,000 spectators. Moscow was bigger. But in terms of the number of visitors, Rock in Rio is considered the largest existing music festival. But I have the founders of Wacken in my ear who say: We could sell twice as many tickets, but we can organize well with 80,000 visitors. With more visitors, the festival suffers.

Wow I just saw your 3 Metallica reactions. This was amazing. You remind me of my self at 12y.o. when my mother brought me as a gift my first Metallica cassette. Yeap CDs invented 2-3 years later. I had the same amount of excitement. Don't be hard on yourself. You are just 20y.o. Think about it this way. I am double your age and I am really jealous of you. Why? Because you have TONS of amazing metal music to discover just like those three songs. Enjoy the journey. My recommendation is that you must do 'For whom the bell tolls' BUT in S&M2 version which is just released. That way you will see how Metallica are 40 years after they got together for first time. Keep it going maybe for 3-4 songs Ang go listen everything from Metallica. It will be a torture to wait for a reaction video. There are hundreds of amazing metal bands that you are going to love out there. I promise!

You should react to the Metallica's "compilation" of their INSTRUMENTAL songs, starting with a true MASTERPIECE, ORION (from Master of Puppets)! Just for the info, Metallica's MASTER OF PUPPETS is the first Metal album, which is now a part of the US Library of Congress's National Recording Registry for future generations to admire it. New subscriber here, just watched your three Metallica videos. Glad you enjoyed them, never too late to explore new (to you) things. My only suggestion is to try to take in the content more while reserving the bulk of the commentary until after the song ends, or (as much as some people hate the practice) pause the song while commenting versus talk over the song. Those of us who know these songs and performances well, will appreciate your attention versus your missing content, and those of us who don't know the song or performance will appreciate our not missing out on one or the other. These reactions are a tricky thing, part art, part science, part charisma. Your first 2 metallica videos imho struck a good balance of all three, while this one suffered a bit imho from crosstalk/competing audio. I'm not trying to beat you down but rather trying to help, hope you take it that way. I'll stick around to watch some more of your output. Have a great day :-)

This is also my 3rd reaction of yours that I’ve watched (also all 3 Metallica because who are those other bands?) and I agree with Paul. Pause the song if you’re going to say more than a word or two. Also, after you’ve paused, skip back around 5 seconds so you can better pick up where you left off (especially for those who have never heard the song before). Lastly (and this is an actual law so pay close attention), NEVER EVER INTERRUPT A GUITAR SOLO. 😁

So the 1.6 mil is a bit misleading. It was 1.6 mil over 3 days total. It was a huge concert weekend with several bands. They estimated 450k were at that Metallica performance I believe (alot of us would agree) the song CREEPING DEATH same live show is actually a better performance even yet - in fact arguably their best live performance ever recorded. The show was a lead-up to the opening of Russia to the western world and dissolution of the soviet union. Their citizens were craving western music. they were craving western freedoms. Metallica (among others) were representing western culture and freedom. What an honor it must have been for them.

You are wrong about one detail. There were really cca.1.6 millions fans (+ military) Preset at the event and it was, I think, the last day of the festival, which also included Motley Crew, The Black Crowes & AC/DC (and couple of local bands). It was a free event, sponsored by Warner Brothers, as a "celebration" of the end of the Communism (as you mentioned) . It is true, because the band members confirm it by them self on several occasions (interviews). I also saw an interview, where Mr. Bernstein, their manager, confirm it. P.S. Even half a million would look incredibly impressive, a thing only very few bands or solo artist have ever achieved.

I feel that you just open the heavy metal box in your life, so I Subscribed your channel to try and give you some heads up in this venue, because all you need is some directions to really be on your way to head bang with all of us. Your next step should be to react to *Iron Maiden - Fear of the Dark (Live at Rock in Rio)* The song is a heavy metal hymn that is legendary to this day and forever, the crowd reaction is like nothing else out there. Maiden is legendary... Up the Irons ! Maiden - Rock In Rio, Flight 666, Live After Death, Legacy of the Beast, yupp ! Consummate Professionals.... Also, you were correct, this concert was put on, as the USSR, crumbled... The Iron Curtain had just fallen -- it was actually a free concert to attend, it was at an abandoned air field. The Russian army was the security.. This concert had a few other bands, Metallica was THE headline act tho- And, I'm sure the comments section is going to blow up, with requests for 'Pantera' performance of the song : "Domination" at this concert... That may be the absolute best way to be 'welcomed' to Pantera... A USA , Texas based , groove metal band, that is just downright intense. Enjoyed the reaction, and looking forward to more. 👍 🤘 🤘

I'd also leave my recommendation for a future reaction video because why not, everyone's doing it; Since you seem to enjoy watching them live, I recommend you to watch Metallica perform My Friend of Misery at Rock in Rio Lisbon 2012, the crowd isn't nearly as big as the one in Moscow but it's quality, interaction and passion for the song and the band is insane, something I've never seen in any other concert ever. I had this concert on VHS when it came out in my early teens. It was my go to for a long time. It was called "For Those About To Rock". Three other bands on the bill. Pantera (if you go check out their Domination video that footage is from this show.), The Black Crows and AC/DC. The story I heard was, that just post the Soviet fall a promoter wanted to have a celebration show for the people. So he had a vote to see who the people of Moscow really wanted to see. This show is that answer. It's amazing to watch the whole thing. The Russian military was running security. So, you got a million newly "freed" kids able to be themselves for the first time and it freaks the soldiers out. There's scenes of soldiers bearing kids with sticks, military helicopters, etc. Lots of injuries and a few deaths. Amazing show though.

James Hetfield has recently talked about this on Joe Rogan's podcast, saying that this was probably one of the first experiences of western (specially american) culture, and inicially neither the croud nor the military that were managing the croud (a good example that even the government didn't knew how to handle this) really knew how to react. You can see helicopters hovering over the croud, soldiers beating people for moshing (they probably thought that they were fighting), but eventually in the end everything went great. Amazing how, to this day, those old farts still kick ass.

Yup, that's about 1.6 Million right there. But you MUST check Creeping Dead - that same concert taken to the next level.

I really enjoy your Metallica reaction videos, thanks for these. Hoping to see them more, keep on the good work. Nice to see you finding these songs and new genre, and analyzing the music and your feelings. Few recommendations from me too. - Creeping Death, live from this same Moscow concert. Heavy stuff, and works very well on that live concert, just imagine those 1,6M russians shouting together "Die, die, die"... :) - One, as many others have mentioned too. (both cinematic and lyric version are fine). - Orion, beutiful metal instrumental piece, where their ex-basist Cliff Burton, who died on fatal bus accident on their tour, shines. - If you liked the basist on Orion, and want to hear masterpiece from his early career, I really recommend to take a look at bass solo "Anesthesia Pulling Teeth (Metallica, live 1983)", especially that live version. His skills in bass are amazing, and he's legend and very big part of Metallica's musicality. This is bit different than other songs. - Unforgiven. There's also series of pieces, later they published Unforgiven II and Unforgiven III. If you do these, would be fun to see them in a row, reflecting your feelings about them. And some random good ones: - For Whom the Bell Tolls - Welcome Home (Sanitarium) - Battery - Damage Inc. - My Friend Of Misery - The Memory Remains - and many others

to add another metal layer to your experience, you need to listen to "down with the sickness" by disturbed (uncensored version) after that, "the sound of silence" and be blown away by sheer talent.

If I’m at a concert I’ll record a few videos, take a few photos, but I wanna spend most of the time moshing and enjoying the music

The crowd and adrenaline was so powerful- according to the frontman, James in I believe a Joe Rogan podcast. The guards just took off their hats and loosened their uniforms and just enjoyed the show with the crowd

This was a rare even in history because Russia at those times is not only Russia but The Union of Soviet Socialist Republic. Ruled by a dictator at those time and Mikhail Gorbachiv. This was their first concert and a short experience of the people of USSR of what freedom was before the collapse of USSR later that same year.

Lead singer/rhythm guitar: James Hetfiled Lead guitar: Kirk Hammet Drummer: Lars Ulrich Bassist (in the video): Jason Newstead. Now it’s Robert Truillio They are reportedly working on a new album so hopefully a tour will be in the near future! You should do more rock/metal reactions. Some of my favorite bands are Guns n Roses, Motley Crue, and Aerosmith

Can't let this stand without taking about Cliff Burton their most incredibly gifted bassist on the first 3 albums (and his two first Metallica reactions). At some point Cliff Burton bass solos would be a good reaction.

I remember this whole Monsters of Rock tour, I was at the Donnington, England '91 leg, ONLY 80,000 there lol, still got the ticket. Awesome show, we had The Black Crows, Queensryche, Motley Crue, Metallica and AC/DC, wish we had Pantera on that bill also, they are mighty.

Love the reaction. I went to a Metallica/Guns and Roses concert not long after this (with Bodycount opening). Metallica is the best showmen I’ve ever seen! By the way, “Sad But True” does have great lyrics.

I think the "extended jammin' version" is better for a first listen. The video background of the official video is very distracting for the first listener. It seems they try to follow the video as opposed to the music/playing.

Definitely don't do the music video first. The talking over the solo pretty much ruins the song. Just do a lyrics video or good audio video.

As a metalhead, its always fun to see new persons getting introduced to the genre and all it has to offer. There is something for anyone, no band is the same and there are a lot of bands, songs and genres that you can dive into. I have subbed to see this journey of yours and to help with guiding you. As some other has said, Iron Maiden - Fear of the Dark (Live at Rock in Rio) is 100% the next song/video you should react to, as it is as much a metal anthem as any of the Metallica songs you have listened to.
