seriously, man, I've listened to lots of NRW projects (not mentioning the fact that my own music feeds from the 80s and synthpop as well), but this, THIS is just so good. it is juicy, fat, tasty, carefully crafted, well mixed, not cliche, not a NRW-wannabe product etc. it is just GREAT. thank you!

No.... THANK YOU for making music like this and inspiring people across the world. They say good music lives forever but trendy music comes and goes, this is a testament that what they were making in the 80's was good music. Here we are almost 40 years later and people are recreating the same vibes and it sounds even better now.

I honestly will never understand why new music trends have to replace old ones. There's nothing wrong with 80's synth, so why did it go away? Glad to see there's at least a few bands out there keeping it alive, and it seems like retro 80's style in general is making a comeback in recent years.
@MrWolfSnack
8 жыл бұрын
+AkuTenshiiZero Record sales and marketing. Once the genre stops making money, they order artists to change their singing or they're fired. That's how Taylor Swift went from small town country to Lady Gaga levels of pop. Blink 182 didn't put up with this shit, so they quit and made their own record label, and people still love them because they still have their signature sound.
@usedtoberon1828
8 жыл бұрын
+AkuTenshiiZero By 1987/1989 this sound had been done to DEATH. It had to go. It sounds fresh and new today because artists let it breath and take a break for a while.
@usedtoberon1828
8 жыл бұрын
+MrWolfSnack Had nothing to do with sales or marketing. I was around in the late 80s and honestly everyone was sick and tired of the newer synth bands that were basically making a mockery of synth and new wave, it was time to give it a rest.

We're also seeing a rise in indie/folk music. My work does music licensing and most artists who make money look like Bob Dylan and/or Neil Young. There are respective differences though.

So glad this guy came up with this album, going through some super ultra depressing times right now, dealing with personal feelings and people who I really love deeply that I spend all my time with but who break my heart in the worst ways(and it's hard to forgive someone who keeps doing the same mean things over and over and doesn't always seem to wanna change, even though they *really* need to make some changes to be their best self, not tryin' to judge but yeah...) ... anyways I've dreamt for years of parallel universes, alternate versions of myself or others, even had one very vivid dream of me and some of my old friends, but everything was different, our clothes, our hair, some of our mannerisms... it was very brief and its hard to remember but yeah. Somehow I feel like I have some cosmic twin out there, maybe in this universe, maybe somewhere else I haven't been to yet. Sometimes I wonder if he's'/she's miserable at any given moment too, or if he's/she's gone through a situation I have... Anyways my point and what I meant to say is some of these feelings hurt, then go away, then come back... This album really helps me out in some cosmic, spiritual or other way I can't describe, to make my soul feel a little better. I've really been feeling like shit lately so God, so grateful to have something(this album) to listen to that takes some of that edge off that the Relax Riesling, 3 reefer blend and all the stuff I binge-bought on ebay to fill the void missed... Also thanks a million to the uploader NewRetroWave!!!!!! Dunno if you'll get this message but thanks a bajillion for uploading all these albums, I'd of never heard of these people if you hadn't!! Dunno how I hadn't heard of this stuff, its totally up my alley. Most of the music I listen to these days that isn't actually from the 80's(yay Alphaville!! and Whitesnake =)), or most of the music I listen to lately period, is off you or Luigidonatello's channel, amongst a few others. I dunno if I could cope with all the shit life is throwing at me without this music, champagne/riesling/40 ouncers and some weed, seriously. I certainly couldn't deal with the people I deal with on a daily basis and still be good to them, that's for sure. I'm just too damn depressed otherwise. Anyone else out there roll your shoulders and roll your head around(like the people in India do) listening to this? I'm gettin' my Terry Crews on in here jammin'' this shit... (Triple smiley)
