One of the most famous door chimes and announcement in the United States. This voice is used on only 4 railroads in the country: Metra, Virginia Railway Express, Star Train, and MBTA. But Metra is probably the most well-known for using it. Probably the rightful frontrunner. To me it sounds somewhat pleasant and the voice sounds fun yet serious enough to deliver the message compared to Star Train's female voice heard in the beginning or the simple ding-dong chime of South Shore Line heard at the end.
A few things to note about Metra and its various speakers, the only speakers that announce this message are the ones built into the box itself. You'll sometimes see a bigger speaker that protrudes outward a little. That bigger speaker is actually the intercom that announces the stations or any message from the conductor and is completely isolated from the doors closing system. On older cars they used to be positioned in other locations but with newer or refurbished Gallery cars, Metra began fitting the intercoms on the other Door Closing light.
These were all taken by me during my trip to Chicago between June 2nd and June 9th. All taken with my Panasonic HC-V800 and a few with my external Rode Stereo VideoMic.
