Different vibe entirely but the Bartolo home run is a top moment with how much joy it brought the entire team and the utter disbelief in Gary Cohens call. Always makes me smile when I see it pop up! You guys are crushing it and Let's Go Mets

I am older fan since grade school in 1962. That was the best and most emotional regular season game for me. My contender was a 1969 mid september game as Mets were fighting for NL east, when Steve Carlton struck out 19 Mets and Ron Swoboda hitt 2 two run homers for 4-3 win.

Asdrubal Cabrera's walkoff in 2016 to clinch a playoff berth. The Matt Franco walkoff off of Mo Rivera in '99 or 2000. The late-inning comebacks against the Phillies and Cardinals (were both in 2022?). A handful of games vs the Nationals down the stretch in 2015. Just a few great regular season memories. But Monday's game takes the cake.

Great job on the show, always nice to hear your side of the story as fans! Asdrubal walk off and Wilmer Flores are the best in “recent” years I’ve seen. My second game at Shea Carl Everett hit a game-tying grand slam with 2 out in the 9th after starting the inning down 6-0. Matt Franco’s walk-off was special too. The 2015 regular season was filled with many amazing comebacks that blend together, so I can’t recall them right now. Let’s beat Milwaukee!

Why did David Robertson have to be traded? He always played well and got the job done. This season we lost numerous games because we didn't have a good closer. I couldn't believe that leadership let a great player go. It came back to haunt us.

Surprised there was no mention of the 2015 game against the Nationals and Cespedes's home run off of Storen into the bullpen to sweep them the day after their massive comeback win. That's the one that immediately comes to mind for me haha. Another great pod! LFGM

As a 73 year old, I remember in 1969 the Tom Seaver “near perfect” game vs the Cubs, which was very memorable. Also, it happened when it was the first time the expansion Mets were relevant. I still find it hard to believe that that youthful looking Seaver (of my own youth) is gone.

I totally forgot about the early season campaign to give Lindor the Trea Turner treatment until Connor mentioned it. What a wild ride this season’s been!

Top regular season games other than this one against Atlanta: Wilmer Flores night at Citifield, especially because of the context Mike Piazza 9/11 game Comeback against John Smoltz Beating Mariano Rivera in his last Citifield appearance Combined no-hitter Comeback against the Phillies in 2022 Seaver imperfect game Not on this tier, but so many of the complete game shutouts by Sid, cone, darling, doc, leiter, and reed

Joe, didn't you hear Keith in the background say, "It's out."? At first I thought it was Ron, but now I know it was Keith.

Greatest mets game you ever watched because it didn't end with Beltran taking strike three for the final out of the season. Don't get me wrong....i understand the sentiment.... but had they lost the feeling would have been the complete opposite....😂. Despite Lindor having an MVP season..... nobody can tell me that Iglesias and his character on the field and in the clubhouse wasn't the catalyst to their success this season.

Incidentally..... Santana's no hitter was blemished because....in reality.....it wasn't a no hitter. There was a line drive down the left field line that clearly hit the chalk and should have been a double and broke up the no hitter......yet it was ruled as a foul ball. That's why i was so happy when they got the combined no hitter years later. It put the asterisk to rest and legitimately ended the argument.

guys, i think this _is_ the "normal" pete alonso. he's 30 in december. i expect each year after this to be a bit worse than the last. he's a one dimensional player, and that one dimension ages poorly.
