How to travel by bus in Mexico 🇲🇽
Mexico's bus system is actually really nice and easy to navigate! There are always many routes throughout the day, they're clean, safe, and comfortable.
Here are a few things to keep in mind when you want to travel by bus:
🚌 Most cities will have a central bus terminal from where all long-distance buses depart. You can show up to buy your ticket, or research routes and ticket prices via each company’s website.
🚌 If you want to travel North via a bus, head to the North bus station (and same goes for East, West, and South)
🚌 Some of the best and most reliable companies are: ADO, Primera Plus, Estrella de Oro, Omnibuses de Mexico, ETN (Enlaces Terrestres Nacionales)
🚌 A trip I took from Mexico City to Queretaro on Primera Plus was $420 pesos or $21 USD so it's fairly inexpensive (this was a 3 hour ride)
🚌 You can look for cheap bus tickets on busbud.com
🚌 Not all bus stations are as nice as the one in CDMX, so I would buy snacks and water for your journey before arriving just in case they aren't selling much
