I bought a bearing separator and puller to removed the part of the bearing attached to the flange, didn’t trust myself cutting the old bearing with an angle grinder!

Hi, Many thanks for your comments, glad you are inspired and enjoying them. MG TF 80th Anniversary, a great choice. I always follow a Haynes or similar manual, even if you have reasonable idea of the process, it's just reassurance for me. Yes a good socket set and spanners, jack and stands, torque wrench and I would say a tapper splitting tool for ball joints will always come in handy, then just slowly add to your tools as and when you find you need them, you will soon find you have a tool for every job. Have fun on Saturday and I am sure you will love it as much as I love mine, they are a fantastic car for the money. Regards Steve
