Yerachmiel is definitely a powerhouse. He's been doing the Miami Boys Choir since the end of the 70's! He's composed every one of their songs and does all the choreography. And yes, we definitely will have this playing in our homes on Chanukah

The Nassau Coliseum is an arena and and sports venue in Nassau County, Long Island - east of NYC, and certainly not in New Jersey. ;-) It was home to different teams over the years, including the NY Nets (now the Brooklyn Nets) and NY Islanders. Yes, the audience was all around the (round) stage, which was rotating for the full view. This concert was the fifth Miami Experience, the last in a series of (annual) concerts that did not end up continuing, at least not as a series. I remember a classmate attending the concert, and coming back with to school with this song on his lips.

To answer your question about listening to this song during Chanukah... Yes, people might have this in a playlist of classic Chanukah songs they'll play during parties on Chanukah. But this particular song isn't really so easy to sing along. More typically, the sing-along Chanukah songs are versions of the verse "Yevanim Nikbatzu Alai" from the Maoz Zur poem. There must be ten versions of it, and a search of KZitem will probably turn up several.

4:43 We definitely listen to Chanukah music throughout Chanukah. Regarding this song in particular, I'd say it just depends on your taste in music. I could be wrong, but from what I see/hear in stores, advertisements, etc. it seems like there aren't that many different Christmas songs or variations of Christmas songs. (I don't mean that with any cynicism of any sort. And please correct me if I'm wrong.) With Jewish music however, name any holiday or almost any prayer(!) and you'll find a huge variety in songs. So we have a lot to choose from :)

There aren't many Chanuka equivalents of a carol, really only a handful of songs which predate the last century. The most famous is Maoz Tzur, which set an excerpt about Chanuka from an old poem to an adaption of German folk song, which itself went on to be used for Christmas carol. The tune is not particularly inspiring to be honest. Chabad has its own Chanuka song which is quite beloved. It has so many different parts, it's effectively a medley, and flits between solemn reverence and joy in a characteristically Jewish way. Limk 👉🏼 kzitem.info/news/bejne/k5CLlqesqKWVono

About your question regarding if this a song that is sung on chanukah, with your analogy to Christmas Carol. There are certain songs sung after lighting the menorah and throughout the Chanukah holiday that are kind of Classic Chanukah songs, which in theory would be similar to Carol's. Then there are songs such as this one and some of the others you've done reactions to recently which people will generally listen to during g the holiday but have no religious significance my analogy would be Grandma got run over by a reindeer or jingle bells rock whi h are not Carol's but played a lot on radio this time of year

The musical conductor who is the director of the choir sings with them quite a few songs. I must tell you that most of the songs are verses from the Bible. The Christians took the word Hallelujah from the Jews because it is written in the book of Psalms many times, Hallelujah is a word divided into two. the first is, to praise, And that is the first word. The second word is two letters from God's name. And why only half of God's name? Because until the whole world believes only in him and in no other factor that he is the one God and there is no other god, only then will his name be complete
