I needed this interview. His words of wisdom regarding the "cap" that I often hear spoken of helped me. I just need to know what I'm dealing with. Thanks Brother Micah.

Yesssss Amennnnnt. Mali Music has waaaaaay to much ministry in him to go secular permanently. I'm sure this is just a phase. Please let it be just a phase cuz I'm missing those worship songs from him.

I really wish people would listen to God and not a man's opinion or take on another's statement and run with it. We all hear and perceive things differently. I don't believe that Mali Music is talking about a financial sales cap...I believe he's referring to souls...exposure. Just like we as a church don't do outreach in the Church house, we go to where the souls who need Christ are, who may NEVER step into a church, to reach them. That is the "cap" I believe he's referring to. There are some who may never listen to a song labeled as a Gospel song that can and have related to Mali Music's music. There is corruption and ill motives in the Gospel Industry just like the secular industry. There is sin in the Gospel industry just like there is in the secular industry. But the Gospel community wants to have a lot to say about him going "secular" but I guarantee his music and ministry is reaching and changing lives that the Gospel music industry would never have access to. God isn't limited to or boxed into the Gospel Industry. Again, just my take and opinion. But I get weary of people trying to make something more than what it is. If you listen to his "secular" album, he's talking about God, Christ, Holy Spirit all up and through it. We as a church hear secular and makes assumptions and presumptions based on nothing. Labels mean nothing, a tree is known by it's fruit. Like another Mali Music quote.... if you REALLY want to know who Mali Music is, buy and listen to the album. People are taking one thing that this man said and making it mean what they want just like they do with the Bible. We act like God only opens doors for his children within the man-made Christian/Gospel institutions. Well, if that's the case, how did Christ get to us because we were ALL "gentiles" and he burst through the doors of where we were and are to get to us even though the "Church" at that time was doing everything in it's power to stop/prevent him.

There are no limitations in Gospel music. For one to say that there is, is a lie from the pit. Gospel is for the King of Kings and there are no limits to what He can do! If his intentions are to reach more souls, he doesn't need to go secular to do that. Jesus said "if I be lifted up, I will draw all men unto me." God will do the drawing, we just need to live lives of holiness and sanctification and He will show us that there are no limits!!

Don't understand this. If we're in to praise God, let's do it for Him alone. He's a jealous God o. So let no man try to make the scripture seems to be broken else he'll gave God's wrath. PRAISE must belong to God only. if you are in for Him, good but don't be there and still in the world.
