I like the first section with the heel/toe sidestep. I was watching the Dancing Machine solo on the Carol Burnett show and though it would be cool to try. His feet are mostly hidden by bell bottoms (the sleeves of his jacket were also flared and it was a great look combined with the slimness of the rest of the suit) though so it looks like he's floating across the floor. Each of the other parts of the rest of his routine is also tricky on its own, but then you have to do everything at once. The man could move. Do you think you could do a slowed down tutorial on the dance I'm talking about?

Hey Marina. 10x for the comment. I will be showing the combo moves pretty soon. Want to finish with the basic moves first and will get to the combo moves which include all body parts ;)
@radiation4brunch
4 жыл бұрын
So it’s basically the XV move... in the beginning you basically start heels facing each other, then you skip the step of closing the toes together when your lead foot calls for it on the first move, then it proceeds to call for heels to close together, which then you dramatically step in the inactive foot to close heel because since you missed the toes it has to be “extra” & then you finish in the XV & repeat.

What Eva you can perform few but can't be in a flow like Michael Jackson though I'm good a dancing and performing well ..! Bcoz that's him.. yu can learn the steps but you don't see the concept like him the way he smile the way he express himself the way he moves in stage and they way he knows the difference between stage and audience what audience looking for they always look for good quality that they can fulfill happiness in it

I totally agree. What I do is I try to learn form him and create my own style. Noone can be MJ. That's why I find it strange that there are a lot of impersonators with make up and wigs and clothes. No harm but it is clear that it was only one MJ! :)

@SkoniecznyMariusz

@@Jacksonator Which step is the beat?
@Jacksonator
2 жыл бұрын
@@SkoniecznyMariusz I would say not to count steps. Learn the move and then experiment. Do not perform it as a memorized move. Try do feel when it is most comfortable for you to do it. It is about feeling what is right for you. I do not think Michael did it every time the same way and on the same timing in the song. However on "Dangerous" his first step is on "..friend of mine" as of "But you're no damn lover FRIEND of mine" and the first move is on the word "friend". However if you see enough Dangerous live performances you will see that he does it slightly different each time This is the real beauty of MJ dancing. So my answer is: do not count and don't try to do it on a specific word or in a specific moment. Just perform the move the best way you can and experiment. :) Choose you own timing for the move.

what shoes do you use to dance
@Jacksonator
7 жыл бұрын
Hey there, The shoes in the video are the same as the ones below.I bought them from ebay. www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2380057.m570.l1313.TR12.TRC2.A0.H0.Xmichael+jackson+shoes.TRS0&_nkw=michael+jackson+shoes&_sacat=0 However I would not suggest you buy those shoes as their sole is rubber and it is impossible to slide. I had them modified at the shoemaker. He put an oxhide sole so that they can be suitable for sliding and MJ moves. You better buy loafers with semi/full oxhide sole - that's what Michael used while dancing. Hope this helps.

I went to the shoe maker to fix them with a flat oxhide sole.
