I remember the night this aired. When Luther walked out....my jaw dropped. To me, he’s not the typical person that I would expect to see at a MJ tribute. Usher, sure, Chris Brown...NeYo..yeah...but not Luther. This is how baddass Luther is: 1. He walks out and gets an applause that’s equal to the man being honored. 2. They slow the music down...so he can deliver in full fledge Luther Fashion. 3. He out-sings everybody on the stage I hope...at some point in my musical career...that I earn the right to be respected and applauded that much. RIP to my musical Father ❤️Luther❤️ RIP to ❤️MJ❤️ Now....imagine if 💜Prince💜 (RIP)had walked out to pay tribute.....😮

Lol. To be fair to them tho, 98 Degrees are very decent singers. They just got hampered in 3 ways: 1) Theyre singing 'Man In The Mirror' like a boyband. It wasnt written to be sung like a boyband. But what else could they do? Theyre a boyband. 2) Usher is a direct artist descendant of MJ so hes automatically gonna be better at the song. And 3) ...Thats Luther fucking Vandross, right there.
