Plus combat arts is a much bigger, older human enterprise, because it's something that has been evolving since the birth of human species, which is let's call it roughly 150 thousand years(maybe more than that), hip hop has been around for about 50 years give or take. As far as the outspoken attitude, the arrogance, the brashness, and the rebelliousness, Bruce is definitely another immortalized icon much like Tupac is to rap. Like Tupac, he is seen as the epitome of his craft. Bruce is also seen as infallible. Same as Tupac. Lately, Bruce Lee has been called out as a user of recreational drugs. The Coc@ine letters have been released to the world for all to see, and very soon, an unfiltered, fearless soul will reveal to the world the receipts of Tupac’s drug use, and then Tupac’s erratic behavior will finally be understood by everyone.

I'll settle this. I've been to 28 countries. It's 2pac by a mile! But Bruce Lee is further ahead of his contemporaries than Pac is. So in a sense, they're both correct.

Hey Vlad, much respect to both u and Michael J. The next time u interview Michael, can u ask him what he thinks of the pro wrestler Haku/Meng who is regarded as one of the toughest men in all of pro wrestling and feared and respected by all. Ask him if he considers haku/meng as a serious threat to anyone on any day

To this day I still have Bruce Lee memorabilia that I bought back in the 70s when I was into martial arts. Books, posters, anything with his name or face on it. Used to save my allowance and head to the pharmacy every week to purchase the latest "Black Belt", "Karate Illustrated", or "Kung-Fu" magazine. If they had Bruce Lee on the cover (and they almost always did) it was a guaranteed purchase. Can't count how many times I saw his movies. I watched "The Green Hornet" just to see Kato in action. Bruce even influenced fashion (those jumpsuits), music ("Everybody Was Kung Fu Fighting"), and even bodybuilding to some degree. It's hard to imagine anyone else popularizing and then dominating their sport/art the way Bruce did. Before Bruce, martial arts was simply not in the larger public conscious. You can't say that about Michael Jackson or 2Pac or any music artist. You can't say that the general public didn't have an interest in music prior to those guys (as great as they were). Bruce gave us martial arts on the big screen and then remained the ultimate icon decades later.
