I was at this game. Center court 10 rows back opposite side of bulls bench. 150.00 tickets and worth every penny to see these legends.

After watching tonights Game 1 between the Cavaliers and Pistons, I can only say thank God I grew up with these Bulls and was able to experience real basketball. The NBA is so fucking awful right now, I'm already done with this years playoffs. ABC and the horrible refs make it unwatchable for me. So - thank you Mike, thank you Scottie and the rest of that team - you gave me great memories.

i talked to a close friend of jordan who said it was also about contract issues and money, also in 99 they only played 52 games in the regular season so jordan would have been more fresh during the playoffs

People tend to forget that in his last pre-injury season, around the 99-00 season, he was posting Lebron-like numbers.

isn't it unbelievable how different it is now than it was back then? it's like comparing kobe or lebron vs mj - there's no contest.

You know, K, you're not alone. It just doesn't feel the same when watching these playoffs. I remember when our family watched the 1997 Finals--especially the Flu Game and Game 6. Boy, were we into it! I remember screaming when Kerr made his shot and when Pippen stole the ball afterwards. Those were the games that got you involved! Nowadays...ah, I don't know. I just stick to baseball and football. College basketball definitely has its moments. I am interested to see how the Blazers will fare.

I just wish that after watching the Beijing Olympics games the NBA would see how much better the physical play is in the International game compared to our game. Still not the best, but a lot better.

i think it might also be the power trip that krause was having too. jordan was definitely larger than life but he was just a player in krause's eyes i believe. jordan basically pick the team and coach and of course that fat fxxk would not want someone underneath him to be so important. that's so sad because jerry could be replaced by any other human being in the world but jordan can not be.

They were so ready to bring in Tim Floyd to replace Phil Jackson as far as I can remember. Yeah Phil was already saying he wasn't going to coach after the 98 season. Unless the management wanted him back that is. But then again, Tim Floyd was there...why??? A month after the Bulls won their 6th championship, Tim Floyd was hired as the new head coach of the Bulls. WTF?

It's everything; the officiating (LeBron got more free throws than the whole Piston team combined, ticky-tacky fouls - I mean come on, these are the playoffs!), players who think they're at Rucker Park (ignoring shot clock and teammates, taking bad shots). There are playoff proved players on that Pistons team and yet they play like scared little girls? ABC talks about everything else, just not the actual game. Van Gundy and Mark Jackson are horrible, really. I'm so pissed right now.

I was naive, I really thought the playoffs would differ from the regular season. Boy was I wrong. This is a no contact league now. Meh, I don't care anymore.

I'm very late with this comment, so I hope you'll excuse me. But did you have an issue with the tattooed & tie dye hair colored Rodman as well? Just wanna make sure your bias isn't too blatant
