Goatness Presents "Jordan Dunks. 92'93 Season" All of The Goat Michael "Air" Jordan's Best Dunks of the 1992'93 NBA Season, Play-Offs & Finals. Including some Gems (as usual).
It always seems that mj jumped as high as he could only a few times... He always jumped as high as he needed... But he always dunks with grace..

if he jumped as high as he could he would dunk on a 12ft rim most likely

After 92 and second championship he stopped jumping. In fact even before then he chose not to flush it on a lot of people...

I remember watching him that season thinking that he’s lost some of his love for the excitement. Then he’d have games like the one at Charlotte with 4 poster dunks and I would be like Damn

I always thought the same thing that the 92 93 season was when Jordan started to lose some of his explosiveness. He was still able to occasionally have an incredible highlight, but didn't have it as regularly as he did seasons prior to this

He didn't lose anything. Jordan said he lost motivation for the game during the 92-93 season. That's why he retire and after his dad pass

The long dunk at New Jersey was epic. Wish it was on here. That was actually the same game where Chris Morris broke a backboard.

Michael's legs were insanely powerful. One of the reasons why it looks like he's floating is because of how little effort it took him to dunk. Even for some of the other great leapers, you can see them gather themselves for the explosion. Mike lifted off with barely a flick of his feet

Remember watching him in person at the summit in Houston around '90. Zero effort from him when he'd dunk it. Looked like he was going for a lay up and then he'd dunk it. Different than all the other players on the court.

Too accurate ! And he could get UP of one or two feet which isn’t common either

Imagine if MJ played in this era…. He would be dunking like that until his final season with Bulls (35 yrs old)

Propably would have some nice dunks with the Wizards too. His first step was still spot on in those years.

MJ is GOAT for life to me, but... I have to admit it's incredibly dissapointing seeing all of his dunks only head half way up the net, after seeing Kilganon & Rivera get over heads with the rim at 6' 2". Oh well I guess.
@tobyncummins
Жыл бұрын
Difference is Rivera and Kilganon would be knocked flat on their butts or stripped clean of the ball before they even started their one-two step towards the hoop. I think Isaiah has even admitted he sucks at basketball. MJ if given the space has shown he can get head to rim and I suspect if he had decided to just be a full time Dunker he would’ve taken that challenge personally as well.

@@tobyncummins Agreed. And most of the time, in games, MJ was hustlin on defense too and not at full energy, like these guys are for their dunk shows.

Not entirely true. A strong dunk sends a statement. Wakes up the crowd or shuts up the crowd. Basketball is a game of momentum swings

You didn't play basketball and you don't know basketball but here you are on the internet with a big mouth. Yes buddy, momentum matters. All sports. No it doesn't have to be a dunk, but dunks are especially strong momentum changers. You can't put a number on it, and explaining it to know it all dorks is impossible, but talk to anybody who actually played the game and they will agree
