It's been more than 1 season. How many times since 2018 have we seen bases loaded with no outs and they can't even get 1 run in? The signs have been there for a long time, but the Yankees analytics department has had their heads in the sand.
@noloc4246

I've said this before and I'll say it again, the Yankees are so far behind everyone else in the league in getting younger and better! All 29 other teams started trading, prospecting, and building with newer, younger, talent over 15 years now, while the Yankees just kept with their old outdated ways! It's come full circle now and nothing short of a total overhaul will do. Everyone from the manager especially has to be seriously looked at and dealt for as deemed necessary. Boston got rid of Mookie Betts, held their ground, got their winning manager back, and are making a serious run at the title. It's beyond ridiculous and embarrassing letting this to further continue as is. It'll take a bit, though if they don't start now, it'll be even later and worse than ever.
@johnsantello9731

It's against the Yankees religion to do a rebuild. How are you going to win the WS in rebuild mode? That's why they have 3 or 4 guys hitting under .200 in the lineup in almost every game.
@41Brother2
2 жыл бұрын
@@johnsantello9731 See that's the problem. They can't keep living by the Yankee religion. It's harder to win the World Series now than it was back in the day. Every team has money, there's revenue sharing, and of course add in all the analytics that have become part of the game. These days it seems that the key to win is prospect building, developing young talent and if you gotta spend money to land a big name here and there to fill holes then do it. The teams that have won championships recently have been doing so by building up from within; Dodgers, Red Sox, Astros. Yankees can't call themselves a "win now" team when they haven't won a pennant in over a decade and have only won the division 3 times since and have been sneaking in as a Wild Card team and being eliminated early. I get it its in their history their legacy. 27x Champions, dynasties in seemingly every era between the late 19020's to the late 90's despite the years between 1962-1977 (barring pennant wins in '63, '64 & '76) and again from 1978-1996 (barring 1 pennant in 1981). But they can't hang their laurels on that. 1 championship in the last 20 years is not a good look

He rarely pinch hits for anyone and the offensive stats are just horrible for the 2nd highest payroll in baseball. 3rd worst BA, dead last in doubles. There are no leaders because he doesn't challenge anyone. Also, I appreciate Michael Kay. He has the tact not to do this on the air but it is good he says what needs to be said in the right forum.

Cashman's ineptness is masked by Yankees wealth. It's like starting out as a VP in your dad's company. Boone's only job is to keep his job knowing that without George Steinbrenner or Gene Michael in the upper management - Cashman will double down on his mistakes (see Giancarlo Stanton). His ability to develop pitching is non-existent. Is there anyway we can trade for Kevin Cash and Tampa's Erik Neander. If the Yankees need to be in last place before Hal makes a move then so be it.

Man I don't understand why we are treating Boone with kid glues in New York. He is an absolutely terrible GM. It was evident to me the very first series he managed vs Blue Jays game 3 when he intentionally walked a bum shoulder Donaldson who couldn't hit a lick to load the bases for their hottest hitter that series who was mashing and guess what happens? Yea, Smoak hits a grand slam. It was a move so illogical and stupid I knew right then and there Boone is in way over his head and we are screwed. If Cashman want's to save his job he needs to admit he made a mistake letting Giradri go and get this nightmare over with. At least this terrible decision is salvageable unlike trading for that bum Stanton. The ripple effects of that clown's failures are and will continue to be devastating to NYY because it gives Hal a reason to clinch his purse even tighter. Those two decisions have derailed the direction of this team after that brilliant sell off by Cashman in 2016.
