just a quick review and some go pro footage of my last ride with the Michelin Wild Enduro Music Credits (for non profit use): "pass me by" (prod. @heydium / @heydium
I had the Wild Enduro with the Gum-x compound, and they have a lot of grip!

In all reality, I got the one that I found really cheap so it wasn't like a deliberate choice! But it's got tons of grip absolutely hooked up

I've heard nothing but good things about Michelin wild enduro tyres. I would like to try them myself one day.

It definitely has a lot of grip. It’s just a slightly heavier tire than I’m used to.

Hows the Marin build been? I assume quite good as you did not say anything on Instagram. 0:34 I recommend installing a bash guide. To keep the chain on and protect the chain and chain ring. But the problem here is the chain crank spider is in the way. So can only use a basic one that covers the the chain and definitely not a oval guide. And of course a dropper post would be nice. 0:40 IS that a Mavic rim?

Yes, front rim is Mavic. Dropper post and chain wheel protection is probably coming in the future. I’ve only ridden it a couple times, and it definitely turns like I expected it to but I need to go to a certain trail that I ride in North New Jersey, that will really tell me how good it’s working. The suspension itself is very plush, I really like the Sun tour, higher and stuff.

0:37 Those trousers look very baggy, not good for riding. I recommend riding trousers, but petal clips to keep regular trousers exist, you just fold the trousers and put the clip on. But when I was a kid I put socks on top. But if you want to keep it warm below then trouser clips is better. But the best solution is riding trousers/pants. I don't know which you sohuld get. Getting trousers caught in the drivetrain is not nice. Once I had to cut a chain on a trails bike, cus another kid tried the kid's bike with expensive baggy trousers. Wheel was bolt on, single speed, so could not loosen it. Really dumb situation. so the kid had to walk home. nut they probably had tools to fix the chain. There was no way to get it out otherwise. He was stuck in an awkward position. Not as big deal with your bike as you can lift the chain. but that bike had super tight chain. So needed a spanner to undo the wheel to not split the chain. But I don't ride with that.

No surprises. Of course it's not rolling as fast as a tyre made for fast rolling, but overall handling is superb. I found it to roll faster than Highroller2, but that has wider gaps/spacing between knobs. But slowest tyre I've tried so far is the original Maxxis Shorty, great grip and mud clearnace but in extrme turning angles all Maxxis tyres seem to squirm at the side knobs, gell feeling, I hate it, Michelin Wild Enduro doesn't do that also the bead is superior. Maxxis will look like I sanded it, while Michelin will look new even when I've worn the knobs.

Yeah, probably makes sense that if it gets better traction it’s not gonna roll as easy. It’s not terrible. It’s just that I could tell a difference between other tires I’ve run on the bike.

My stupid Sram GX derailer stopped working! I’ve been running Shimano 5100 for years on everything and there basically bulletproof but somehow I let myself think that a GX derailer better. When it’s perfect, it does shift better but you get maybe two rides out of it before you gotta start messing with it again and I’m just about done with it. I already ordered another Shimano derailer to replace it.

Which rim inner width did you use? I found these tyres to perform superbly on 30mm rims, but perform quite well on 23mm too.

@@mtbboy1993 it seemed to air up on that rim pretty good like it fit pretty natural so it doesn’t seem excessively rounded at the top, so I think it’s fairly good size for it

0:55 Which handle bar does she use? How is it?
@theshedMTB
3 ай бұрын
So the bike right now is in England with her so I can’t look at it and tell but it’s probably a Bucklos some other low cost style handlebar. I think it was 50 mm rise but she had me cut it down a lot. She likes a really narrow bar And she likes it the bend of the bars.

@@theshedMTB Thx, The bar width is important, not too wide and not too narrow. Good really tall high rise options exist.
