Awesomeness. Never seen so many Vmax's in a group. You rarely see 1st or 2nd gen Vmax here in central Texas. But I'm a proud owner of a 2002 vmax and my brother has the 2013 vmax. Love them! Hell of a machine!

I'm curious to know if you still have your original VMAX ? I bought a 1992 with 5,000 miles on it. Tore it down, polished all aluminum parts to look like chrome. Installed CR racing carbs w/ velocity stacks, bigger exhaust, etc. Painted it with chameleon paint.Changes colors. Still have it to this day. I'm wanting a new generation VMAX to set this one on the side for a bit,not to mention the more horsepower.

+John Jones Yamaha claim 197.4 hp at the crank for the current Max (so pretty close to 200 hp wouldn't you say?) which is equating to 174/175 horses at the rear wheel depending on which dyno is being used and ambient temperature on the day etc. Early Max's claimed 147, but often made around 115 at the wheel - which was more than enough, given they handled like a plate of vomit.
