it means to assign it to keyboard so so the higher notes open up the filter more than the low notes

Great tips, thanks! Especially like the "tape delay" effect, should be very trippy with a little external delay processing added (like from the NTS1!).

Awesome video on the Microfreak. I have this synth in my garden. It never ceases to amaze me. So many sweet spots. I do a lot of generative, with mine. Thank you for posting this. Peace out!

@@TechTronix01 The Microfreak is a winner and a keeper for my garden! One can do so much with the synth. With so many oscillator types, how can there ever be a shortage in exploration.

@@billsoraparu9673 I agree... the only thing I have found to get near it in versatility is the korg nts1.. not nearly as much though.. might be good for your setup though

@@billsoraparu9673 For $100 the NTS1 is a no-brainer, even if you just use it as an effects box. But it's also an amazing-sounding programmable mono synth. Only catch is you really need a midi keyboard to properly play it.

These vids are fantastic and so well explained with musical context. Thank you! Im looking into how to use MF with other gear but have internal sequencer/ patterns on MF synced up. Do you have any advice on this?? Im confused about how i jump from pattern/patch in a live set while keeping midi sync

I would recommend a circuit tracks.. something to sequence it and add to it

@@TechTronix01 yeah ive got an mc101 or emx2 that could do that role. So youre not recommending the internal sequencer and patch loading then?

@@NeoLudditevisons I highly recommend it.. just many different ways to use it.. the splice and dice feature is awesome for changing boring riffs into something special.

I personally connect it to a groovebox so that I can sequence it over time in the context of a song.. you could easily just use your groovebox to just pitch the sequence up and down.. I then just match a sound I've made on the freak to the project on mc101 or circuit so I know to load em up

@@TechTronix01 coolio! Yeah all my concern is using the internal MF seq is that when i switch patches in turn to start another pattern on the MF will new pattern play in time?
