After repairing this radio & cobbling the customers mike together, it was time to get Mr Chippie to drive around our usual 6-mile 'dificult terrain for radio' test route. He stopped at the 5-mile point for a low power test (400mW). The radio worked well throughout.
I note that on the second microphone test to base station that there is some rustle in the microphone lead. Normally caused by corrosion of the screen.
4W RF output, 0.55uV for 12dB SINAD receive.
Our continued thanks to Thunderpole for kindly supplying the T3000 radio we use in the test vehicle at no cost to us. This is the sole reason for the 'paid promotion' flag on this video.
