Would have put the jack in another location. Really susceptible to spills and crud. Probably better to install in the dash. Good idea overall 👍🏼 just would have done a little different.

I have since purchased just some rubber seals or plug for the USB port. I now just leave the handheld installed, this helps with the crud factor. But yes spills are still a concern but I hope I can just be careful lol

Good Job! Please make sure that antenna cable by the passenger door is not rubbing on the fenders top edge. You may want to put some kind of tape or a pice of rubber between the fender and the cable. Vibrations can do a job after a while.

I appreciate it. I’ll make sure and double check and see what I can do to protect it from rubbing through 🤙🏽

I low-key want this radio in my Xterra, but I'd have nobody to radio. It would just be a toy. Is that wrong? 🤷🏽♂️ Ps. Great video!

#treatyoself lol if it makes you happy then why not go for it! And just because you don’t have people to radio right now doesn’t mean you won’t in the future. Also the active weather scan is helpful either way. You can also do a constant channel scan to find activity, this could help someone out there calling out for help too 🤷🏽♂️ P.S. thanks for watching!
