My grandfather was friends with Al. I remember going to his townhouse as a kid. The entire first floor (maybe 2,000 square feet) was filled with crap he had ordered. And he’d always order at least 2-3 of everything. I had fun playing on one of the 2 Atari Lynx video game systems he’d ordered.

He used to call Howard Stern whenever he had personal problems. It was hysterical!!!

RIP in Al. I watched his show, "Midnight Blue" regularly for many years and it was always entertaining...And he always told the truth in his product reviews like this one. If he said the product was good, it usually was, if he said it sucked it usually did. I really liked the guy.

@KaijuEigaMan88 The Hotel Carlyle where the late, great Bobby Short played piano. I think I saw that rant. Goldstein was a trip. Too bad he lost his fortune, Dam, I miss the old NYC and Midnight Blue of course.

Irrespective of what one thinks about Al Goldstein, this program was funny as hell. The Fuck you segments were legendary.

Dude spent money like most people go through water so every dollar counted to him at the end of the day. That's how he went broke.

There used to be an Al Goldstein rant on KZitem a few years ago where he was trashing a NYC restaurant/hotel called the Carlyle. I wish someone would re-upload it. It's one of the friggin' funniest things you'll ever watch.

Could for Penn. And good for Goldstein--at least he's still on his feet, literally.

Yes he's still alive but he is not well. He lives in a VA Home in Brooklyn and has essentially lost everything.

Last I heard Goldstein was in a nursing home on Long Island. Is he anywhere on the net at all these days? He fell so far so fast.

Can Al still get it up? I remember finding a copy of Screw in my father's nightstand as a kid (this is in the 60's). Is he still alive?
