That was such a great show. Even the normally tedious Short Memory instrumental break (excellent performance with the Theramin)

People go on about Genesis and Rush et al need an education and listen to tracks like "Only The Strong". Most underrated and totally prog band that actualy sing about shit that matters: Midnight Oil

Prog ? ya know i never considered them a part of any genre other than a great rock band with important messages

@@coopsawright7225 Totally agree. Genres are mostly crude ways to describe music. I guess what I was trying to say is that from a songwriting/technical perspective Oils songs (notably earlier records) are complex, have lots of odd time, different sections etc. That's the only reason I referenced "prog". Lyrically, Oils are the opposite. 70's Prog rock songs were mostly obscure gibberish imo. I guess I meant Oils were truly "progressive' in a literaly sence. No one sounds like them and their earlier records esp. just sounded so original, like nothing at the time mainstream anyway.

agreed ; losing Giffo on bass after 1987 changed everything , he was very unique and talented , such a shame as things went commercial from then on@@graemeozzie2251

Unfortunately I did not see them on that last tour but did on the tour before and it was fantastic to see such an intelligent unique band in Manchester and previously at Hammersmith. Superb

Thank you for this! Now I can rewatch the whole show! Man, with the amount of different videos on YT (including my bits, most of which I haven't uploaded yet), you could probably put together a decent DVD... 😛
