For me, this is the greatest Live performance of a song ever. The way it starts out rough like a practice session, then it builds, and builds, the break in the middle, then the last segment when they hammer it home. For ME....this is the best single Rock and Roll Song EVER! I want it played at my funeral or execution whatever comes first.

What more do you need ? How can 144 people not like this ? Check out the rythmn changes on Midnight Rambler and Sympathy is just so funky . Those licks from 7:45 to 8:15 that Taylor plays are sublime- nothing complex but simply jaw dropping how much higher they take this song. Which was already a moment each band member probably looked up at each other and was like ' these instruments are fucking playing themselves '. Since I first heard this 37 years ago it is still making the hair on the back of my neck stand up. Pure energy out of thin air.

this was one of if not the best live album they ever put out. This was like the first album I got along with the Woodstock album back in around 1968 or so. This is the absolute best version of Midnight Rambler that they ever did. It really kicks ass at the end of the song. Just when you think it's over, it builds back up and rocks.

+Dave Welch I agree. A truly great live album. As good as this version is though, I saw them play a better version at Wembley Arena in 1973. It was one of those shows that had the magic that only happens on very rare occasions. That night they played this and it just blew the roof off, it was an incendiary performance of such satanic majesty that simply defies description. I saw them many times but that night had the real rock and roll voodoo. Now I'm older I'm just glad I was there.

Mick didn't do all the solos and everything else Mick was told how and when to play. Keith could've had any guitar player even Clapton or Page . Mick was a good employee that's about it 😎
