If you didn’t know, you can deactivate the powerwash spinwashes with almost no water and it will use normal water levels on wash :) (programming/settings mode i believe)

Ive been thinking about getting one of these but this programme has really put me off. Is this the onlg quick wash available? Not a lot of water in the main wash at all and the rinsing wasnt great which is suprising given the water level and wash action which was excellent, but no interim spin vetween rinses is the fault there. How long is a regular 60c with a time saving option selected? What are the water levels like with the extra water option selected?

The rinses don’t look good but that’s because they’re so intensive they beat the foam out of the items, the end result is very good. The low water use during the wash is the PowerWash 2.0 technique and really works while dramatically reducing energy consumption. If you’re not a fan, this can be turned off completely in settings or can be deactivated when needed on a per cycle basis by selecting some options such as cap dispensing, the machine then reverts back to a “normal” style wash. Mieles are VERY flexible for any cycle you may need. You have this QuickPowerWash of 49min, capdosing can be selected to revert it back to a normal wash. Deselecting the quick option gives you a QuickPowerWash of 1hr 15 which uses normal washing by default, it also does 2 rinses with interims spins between the wash and rinses, with the jet also being used in both, it also spends a few mins at 1600. Then on each cycle you can select ‘singlewash’ which will drop the time to either 49,39 or 29min which are all again quick progs. They carry out the normal wash just in a shorter time, defaulting to the pw 2.0 tech, this can be deactivated again using the cap option, the machine then uses a lower water level but more than the 2.0 version. Cotton quick is 1hr 14, upto 50, which overheats to near 60, above this is 1hr 59. Automatic plus quick is 1hr 32 etc. so regular 60 quick would be 1hr 59 but QuickPowerWash can do it in 1hr 15, if I do use the 1hr 59 cycle I select intensive as it only adds 5min more. Water+ I have set to 4cm extra water, you can see this in the Miele wash race I did for cotton 60 😁. Hope this helps, anything else just ask. Oh and of course you have the usual express 20 and 30 but I’ve heard these only do 1 rinse, I haven’t used them myself yet, only this and the singlewashes

@@mrlaundry101 wow thats great thanks. So when you say 4cm extra water, can you select how much extra water is added? What is the wool wash like on these. I use my old Bosch for a wool or delecate wash as I was everything on 60c or more. All modern machines will only go to 40c max. Do these machines allow higher tempretures on wool wash?

@@craigmorrison768 in settings you can select how much more water the water plus option will use, between 0 (deactivating pw 2.0 only) to 40mm. Also whether to just add extra water or also an extra rinse. I haven’t used the wool wash on this, but the delicate cycle still goes to 60

@@mieleboy96 seems rather odd that it would dump the detergent water to replace with fresh water during the main wash. The WCR860 never drains during the power wash cycle. Tops up the water if the circulation pump chugs and then carries on. Mind you mine has been faulty for three years and is finally going back to Miele for a refund.

@@thisismynametb yes I thought this and brought it up with miele. They told me it drains out the excess dirty water and then if using twindos will refill and and more detergent this then improves wash performance. I've got it all on a service report email

So technically power wash phase is a pre-wash as all the soap is drained away? That’s still a bit “dumb” in my opinion. Could easily just leave the water in there and then do a shorter top up after that (around 8:56).
@mrlaundry101
2 жыл бұрын
Not really, I thought this until I had a w1 myself. The machine drains itself as it must ensure there is an exact amount covering the heater, it doesn’t rely on the pressure sensor as it has a flow meter. Once it’s properly saturated everything, it leaves so little water available that basically nothing is drained out and the drain pump just chugs before filling to heat
