Bassi Umer Khan, near Hoshiarpur India, is named after Muhammad Umar Khan. He had two sons, Muhammad Hussain Khan and Ali Muhammad Khan.
Zaildar M. Hussain Khan loved to grow mango trees. His mangoes won reward in an exhibition held in Dehli. So his garden got its name as Inami Bagh. It still stands in Bassi Umar Khan.
Partition occured in 1947. Hussain and Ali's family had to leave. They left.
They settled in Pakpattan. Got lands in Pati pur, a small village near Pakpattan. Lands were once owned by Bashishar Nath.
He planted a garden in Patipur, bringing roots from Inami Bagh too.
So the trees migrated from Bassi to Patipur.
