This is a great song. It almost has a death metal/melodeath feel to it, save for the vocals. And I'm happy for Miho. Wishing her all the best!

Ya think she trying to match up with FAMI...

@@davidhersrud5139 I think you don't know anything about Miho.😂It was Fami who tried to match Miho when she joined LOVEBITES! Watch the 'Bassist Audition Documentary' where Famy says it was difficult for her to play Miho's bass parts. Fami also says that she had to go through a lot of trial and error before she could properly play the bass part in the songs that Miho wrote. For example, in 'Golden Destination'. Two of the four songs ('Golden Destination' and 'The Hammer of Wrath') that candidates were required to play during the qualifying competition for the bassist position in LOVEBITES were songs written by Miho !!! With Miho's departure, LOVEBITES lost more than it gained with Fami's arrival. One good bass player (Fami) replaced another good bass player (Miho) . But the band lost the one who was the leader and the “brain” of LOVEBITES. LOVEBITES has lost a writer who wrote 23% of the band's songs ( in 2016 -2021). Many of which became hits for LOVEBITES. If it weren’t for Miho, LOVEBITES as a band would not exist at all ! Etc. etc. Famy is undoubtedly a technical bass player, a good person andand a nice young lady. But Fami still has to spend 7-10 years to gain the enormous experience (as a professional musician) that Miho had at the time of her departure from LOVEBITES. For example, when Fami was 11 years old, Miho was already performing in the USA as part of DESTROSE, etc., ect. It's a shame that you (Fami fans) are disrespecting Miho. Unlike you, Fami has a very good opinion of Miho! You have "made a fetish" out of Fami and worship her. But this does not mean that Fami is better than Miho. This is just your subjective opinion based on the fact that you know nothing about Miho!

It's more like Miho's old experience. She's done slaps before, but rarely.🤗It's just that the bass lines in the LOVEBITES songs didn't require the slapping technique. Miho's idol is Steve Harris and his bass playing technique.

@@davidhersrud5139 It's the other way around.😂Fami trying to match up with Miho. Fami said that she found it difficult to play Miho's bass lines and that she had to go through a lot of trial and error before she could play the bass lines correctly in songs written by Miho. In addition, Miho is much more experienced as a professional than Fami. When Fami was 11 years old, Miho was already performing in the US as part of DESTROSE, etc., ect.

I was very impressed by this song, but I like the second song (Headbanger's Journey) from The Legacy Within album even more. I was about to write that they were the only two songs available to stream, but I've just checked and the whole album has now been released. The vocals are so refreshing. I wish his approach were used more often these days, but obviously there aren't many singers who can do it.

As much as I love Lovebites, they will never be the same without Miho. What she brought to the table as far as musical influence is absent on their latest album. And her stage presence... ROCKSTAR! I wish all the best to her. 🤘

Not really a fan of session bands. I like to get to know a band and their members, and look forward to always (unless someone leaves) seeing that lineup. That said, happy for Miho and hope whatever she does, whereever she does it, it works out for her and she feels happy with what she does (not knowing why she left in the first place).

A few slaps ( bass💥 in the face) from Miho to those who claimed that Miho was the “weakest link” in LOVEBITES and were happy about her departure.

I've not seen anyone ever say such a thing. Yes there has been some saying they feel Fami is potentially a better player than Miho, but I think a lot of that is from what Miho has said about not liking Japan's tendency to play technical Metal, she prefers the simpler Western style. My opinion is that she likes to tick along comfortably and soak in the atmosphere of the performance and crowd, while being able to headbang. That's a lot harder to do if you have to constantly play technical fast metal.
@GrayFox14

@@_Ziyi Thanks for the answer. There were enough such statements regarding Miho. I've had a lot of conversations over the past year (since Fami became a member of LOVEBITES) with those LOVEBITES fans who have been disrespectful to Miho. They called her “the weakest link of the band”, “not a technical bass player”, etc. I assume that this was also actively done by some Fami fans who joined the Wolf Pack. In this way they tried to elevate Fami over Miho. Not realizing that they are harming the band and Fami's image. I had to communicate with such people. About fast technical metal that 'Miho doesn’t like to play'..... The Album 'The Legacy Within' is technical speed and power metal. But Miho took part in the recording of this album. If she didn't like it, Miho wouldn't do it. Is it logical? The reason Miho left LOVEBITES is not because of "technical metal". The reasons are much deeper. Famy is undoubtedly a technical bass player, a good person andand a nice young lady. Many LOVEBITES fans have made an 'Idol' out of Fami and think that she is better than Miho. But this does not mean that Fami is better than Miho. One good bass player (Fami) replaced another good bass player (Miho). With Miho's departure, LOVEBITES lost more than it gained with Fami's arrival. Because Miho was much more for LOVEBITES than a good bass player.

Yes I agree she would have left for more reasons than technical playing in metal. I just didn't feel it was worth bringing up because nobody really knows. Everyone who knew Lovebites with Miho are sad she left, but it was her choice and her happiness is all that should be worth talking about, rather than speculation about bad blood etc. Still she did mention Japanese metal tends to focus too much on technical style playing and she prefers western style more. That was in an interview months after leaving Lovebites, which I thought was worth pointing out. As for Miho playing technical stuff, a jobs a job, she is perfectly capable of playing that way, it's a preference not a requirement after all.

😳 😂 When I listened to Iron Maiden for 40 years, I thought that I knew quite well, what excellent Metal is. Enter Lovebites. After having heard the 60 Lovebites songs, I thought, that I knew better, what excellent Metal is. Enter "Chaos Control". And so on. 😂 In a nutshell: Hell of a band, hell of a song, hell of a vibe. I have to re-watch the drummer again, but in _slow motion_ , to be able to learn from him. 😂 I thought, that Haruna-san is quick. But this drummer... Dear me... 😂 Miho has an excellent time here, it seems. I hope she finds a good way to stay true to herself. "Take care, Miho!"
