I think the Seahawks should hire Ryan Grubbs as the OC. That would be fantastic on so many different levels.

Love the pod as always Rob. I’m curious if you would ever consider allowing people to call in for a minute or too to share their thoughts like Grant Cohn does. I find it very hard to articulate a point in 100 characters. It’s also the main reason he has blown up to become the biggest team centric NFL analyst on KZitem. The videos where he talks to the fans are super entertaining

Great stream gents. I too was in the OC camp, but it was the hard hitting and smothering defence of the 2012 Seahawks that made me a fan. So I am excited to see if Mcdonald can get the Hawks back to that dominant defence.

1:17:24 I was just telling my mom that I was seeing a lot of happy Bears fans over the Waldron hire and how it is such a treatment to what utter disarray they are in to be happy about the move!
@jesselund360
8 ай бұрын
Don't be surprised if Waldo is a head coach in 1-2 years after taking the bears over the hump....Pete hand cuffed him so bad you could see the frustration build each off-season as Shane realized "they ain't runnin my shit..."
@katvtay
8 ай бұрын
@@jesselund360 My takeaway has always been Pete was more a big picture guy rather than micromanaging play-calling of his OCs. Waldron had a different style than Schotty and Bevell. Being able to make necessary adjustments seems to be Waldron’s biggest problem. However, these last three OCs of the Seahawks did start out strong and then became too predictable, so maybe Pete is the common denominator. Waldron may actually really be an asset to Chicago. I’m interested to see what happens.

I'm honestly so pumped. if you can get an older Offensive coordinator that can be respectful of his role but knows his stuff. Somebody we will not lose 1 year from now. This could really be set up well because I think that john is going to have an excellent draft
@pmoney3688
8 ай бұрын
You might be onto something there with seasoned offensive coordinator, but I was thinking exactly the opposite, young hungry up and Commer, different, fresh, innovative. You could very well be right. We have the young, fresh, innovative, new head coach, maybe somebody more seasoned and steady at the reigns, would suit our new head coach better🤷♂️

Sniffs sadly. More of the same in some ways. Post rule changes, why do knuckle headed, billion dollar franchises hire on the defensive side of the ball...Only 3 defensive coaches made it to the playoffs this year...I would like to say I am happy but...Not even Bill B. can make it work these days.
@katvtay

BB can still coach the hell out of the D, but he had other problems attributed to his stubbornness. I think a young D minded HC like MacDonald will make sure not to muck up the offensive side.

That’s a fair point, but look at the teams that made it deep into the playoffs, the one thing they have in common, is defense. I know Kansas City has not had the best defense, but it has definitely showed up in the playoffs, and I remember that’s how they got beat in that Super Bowl against Tampa Bay. It wasn’t so much Tom Brady as it was Tampa Bay’s defense taking it to the Chiefs.
@pmoney3688

I’m listening to you talk about our defensive players, for me, some get the thumbs up, and at least half of them get the thumbs down , there’s no way we can let everybody go in the off-season, so it be interesting to see what some different coaching can do with these guys. I don’t like our front seven, but who knows, maybe some different coaching can turn some of that around.(I am speaking in general terms, don’t dislike the entire front seven, just collectively as a group)
