Greeny really screwed Golic in the end. Once Greeny decided to move on from radio, it left Golic blindsided and ultimately after Golic and Wingo was a failure, ESPN said so long to him. They even kept his son.

These guys got me into talk radio. I remember hearing that they had issues and would be separating. I just could not believe it but then it broke my heart to see this live to confirm that they would be going separate ways soon.

Golic is a no talent hack and Greeny carried him As we can see by Greeny succeeding years later with 'Get Up' and Golic failing with his no talent son and no talent Trey Wingo

Golic fan! First started listening in the early 00s while stationed at Fort Drum. Appreciated Golic's opinions far more than those of the other Mike (not saying his nickname). The other Mike is one of few commentators that I do listen to these days.

At first I thought golic was being sort of a baby about the whole situation. I remember thinking like come on dude GROW A PAIR! Its business. Greeny wants to move on to bigger and better things and with the way you are with family 1st, he can only go so far with you so just deal with it! However, I remember watching this episode as it happened and I heard this and I looked at the screen and BOOM! I realised what's really going on here. Of course Golic is upset that the show's ending and stuff like that, but the amount of disrespect it shows that Greeny had for Golic in that situation. Greenyknew that he was upset about how the show was ending Greeny knew they talked about it before and Greeny deliberately broke the agreement basically kicked him and slalped while he was down telling him I am the boss what I say goes and you arr insignificant. This little snippet of time completely changed my outlook on the whole greeny and golic beef. Greeny is a snob.

At the end of the day it is business. Also on air relationships like any other in real life come to an end at some point. People either grow apart, want to do in another direction or just want to try something new - leaving the other not feeling good about the situation. That is exactly what happened here.

There is something very unique about radio show partnerships. They all seem to develop rancor at some point. The ego it takes to pursue a career in basically voicing your opinion literally hours every day. I guess those egos always collide and result in bad blood.
