Would love to see a longer documentary about more or ALL albums by Mike Oldfield. Tubular Bells is the iconic one but there are surely many other interesting things to say about all the rest of them!

& this is the stuff of legend, from Tubular Bells to Virgin Galactic, Oldfield & Branson, Bravo :-)

This is fascinating. However, as much as I love Oldfield's music, I'm afraid I'm a little hard pressed to dispute the notion that Branson did more for Oldfield, than vice versa (though it's well known that about a decade later, Branson wasn't doing so much for Oldfield anymore).

That's not really anything to dispute. Of course Branson helped Oldfield's career a lot in the beginning. We wouldn't have Oldfield's music distributed so widely without Branson's involvement. And you're absolutely right about later on. Once Virgin started making way more money with punk and new wave bands in the late 70's-early 80's, Oldfield and the other progressive bands that Virgin signed in the beginning all fell by the wayside.

why the hell the ending is cut off? What was about that feisty song and the end? A rival for Mike's music?
