Can’t believe all the negative comments. It might not be for everyone but the skill level is pretty insane. I appreciate his dedication and the sweat he’s put into his craft.

He clearly has speed, he can keep tempo perfectly when he decides to groove, he knows rudiments, double/triple strokes, and rolls while doing something completely different with his feet, he's got dynamic contrast, and he can do a roll with his sticks alone. Nobody has to like his style, but if somebody thinks that Mike Terrana is a bad drummer, he or she should seriously learn how to fucking drum properly, develop speed, et-fucking-cetera and THEN complain about it.

generally because getting a consistent and identical sound from both bassdrums is very hard. double pedals are made today in a way they do exactly the same as 2 primary single pedals (mike terrana uses trick v1 pro pedals here). the extra bassdrum is a dummy, it's more of a show element, but it's nice for stage performances...

2 basedrums is generaly a metal setup (and looks way cooler then one basedrum). Deen Castronovo also has 2 basedrums and plays with a double pedal. I believe he said something about an easier setup when you got two basedrums. Perhaps mike feels te same way

Well.... obviously he's technically excellent, capable of doing some very complex stuff... But a lot of these really technical drummers seem to be led by there technique. Maybe that is an unfait critisism, if this is a solo for a drum clinic that is intended to show of technique. However: Go and listen to someone like Ginger Baker, say. Only about 10% of this guys technique, but his solos are so much more musical and entertaining to listen to!
