This game is still challenging to me to this day, but I love it and hearing all the sounds and music brings back good memories playing this while growing up. Great video.

My Dad is still the only person I have ever seen destroy Mike in round one. He knew how to get Mac to fast dodge the initial dynamite punches and hit him while he was still flashing resulting in a star punch. I have never tried to replicate this as an adult because it is the only videogame achievement my dad has left that I haven't shattered.

I'm not sure about this, but I tried calculating the TAS time in the normal single segment category by adding the times for each fight together, and I calculated the TAS to be 12:58.890. You may correct me if I'm wrong, but I can tell that SummoningSalt is the master of Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!!

Yes. The fighters sometimes get up on 6 or 9 or 7, and that's too random to count in real time. Very late reply, but I'm bored enough.

Very late but there are RTA runs, but they are way less popular for various reasons and in game time makes way more sense in this game.

I've played hundreds of hours of this game, over the past 30 years or so. This I'm sure looks way too easy to some....the guard manipulation on Honda 2 was incredible. I could be stuck to hit 10% of the frame perfect punches you're able to. Color me impressed

The one that still gets me is Don Flamenco II. I can TKO him in the second round but I just cannot get ANY of those jabs in. He's like a punching bag; all he likes to do is block. That fight is the best one IMO. Doesn't look like much but if you've faced him you know what I mean.
