@@CATmetchu That's definitely true. You can't tune a human voice the way you can tune a Vocaloid's. Sometimes an electronic voice has more impact than a human one.

@@CATmetchu Oh, definitely not, seeing how mainstream media would frown upon/become outraged by the wide spectra of dark topics Vocaloid is known for if it were sung by anyone but a Vocaloid. Also, songs like Kokoro are definitely in the range of unique ideas that the western world just can't seem to come up with, given the fact that most of them have their heads stuck in Gucci Gang and other crap. (Literally the only semi-current western song I know. That shows you how little I pay attention to western music, unless it's a vocamerica type deal)

@@ForTheLoveOfCha0s The only western songs I listen to are the classics. Like "We Will Hold On Together" and "Country Roads" The modern stuff... are very not to my taste. Japanese songs get the opposite treatment. I don't like their classics xD.

@@ForTheLoveOfCha0s I think that's a little harsh. Western music used to be extremely innovative and Western artists came up with a lot of interesting new things. I listen to a lot of oldies and there are a lot of Western songs that have a deeper meaning. It's just that contemporary mainstream music has no content, it's superficial. I still think it's enjoyable, but it's not intriguing or tantalizing: there is no deeper meaning. Then again: not all Vocaloid songs have a deep meaning or story to them.

I'll admit, I didn't grow up with vocaloid. And as someone tuned to mostly 70s-90s European/American music, It was a tricky transition getting used to the pitchy sound of Hatsune miku and the gang. I started with the Miku symphony as something easy on the ears, then slowly emerged into the true vocaloid music. Now I quite love it. Megurine Luka is by far my favorite vocals 😋

Or are we talking about just seperating servant of evil version from the rest of the songs.

Instead of those fake holograms, there should be musicians playing the music and the audience sings.
@jesseroberts1041
2 жыл бұрын
Eh, part of the reason Vocaloid concerts are great though IS the fact there’s a holographic projection happening. Not saying it’s the only thing of course, the band always seems to nail the performances etc. Also just wanna clarify, you know ONLY the singer/voice is projected right? It’s always been actual people playing the music.
