This is the 2nd part of the restoration of the Mikuni BDST 38mm carburetors from my Yamaha FZR 1000. Pretty much every other Mikuni BDST is the same and the procedure is almost identical.
In this video, I'm not only showing how to put together the carburetors, but also how to synchronize them and how to adjust the pilot screws!
This will result in amazing engine response and fuel economy too! These adjustment methods can be used in other carburetors as well.
Pilot screw settings:
FZR 1000 '87-'89
2 1/2 turns out
FZR 1000 '90 onward
3 turns out
