Out of all military houses I’ve seen this is the best because the garage is actually clean!! Thank you

Naturally Sunshine I highly recommend the kitchen backsplash wallpaper, I got mine from target! And I find a lot of stuff at thrift stores and repurpose things I find on facebook marketplace! Chalk paint comes in handy to repaint furniture too!

Thank you for showing your back yard!!! I’ll be moving soon, can’t decide if we’ll do on base or off base. But we have two doggies that’ll be coming along and I’ve been worried about not having a space outside for the pups! I know not all places are the same but no other tour I’ve watched have showed the fenced backyard. Lovely home!

My Dad was stationed at Eglin AFB/Hurlburt Field in the mid 90s (he spent most of his time at Hurlburt) we would only go to Eglin for special events or if Dad's friends who lived on base housing (we lived off base mainly because we wanted to be closer to the schools and the beach so we lived in Navarre Beach, FL) were having a cookout for fourth of july or something. but we did continue to use the BX and the commisary occasionally if there was something on base that the off base stores didn't have. I remember one time we had a serious roach problem at our house and we had to go on base to the BX to see if Dad could find some of those roach foggers in the garden section because I can't remember the reason but I think our local walmart either ran out of them or didn't carry them at the time.

You definitely can! I know on Eglin they only make you fill the hole if it's bigger than a dime when you move out I think!

Wow your house is beautiful! By far my favorite house I’ve seen on Eglin. What part of the base is it on? My fiancé and I are debating if we should live on or off base. (We still have time to decide). We found 2 places in Navarre but it is pretty far from the base. Would you say that a lot of the housing on base is as nice and updated as your house? And do they let you see the house before you decide on living there? So sorry for all the questions 😂❤️

Darlene Reyes Navarre is definitely far and traffic can get pretty bad in the summer. We live in new housing which are 3 bedrooms and 4 bedrooms. But there’s older housing which is 2 bed 1 bath. Not worth it in my opinion but some people really like it. We used to live in Crestview, loved our house, hated the drive.

Are you closer to the west gate or to the commissary? I lived in the cinder block housing from Oct 2005 until they tore it down in Oct 2008. We moved across the base to the easternmost end of Wakulla; I used to bike that big incline to and from work each day (AMMO). Incidentally, these are PALACES compared to what we were in lol.

Chase Roush Those houses are still there but in the process of being torn down. New housing was built closer to the west gate.

@EmilyMariee

Ananda Jenkins we used to live in Crestview and it wasn’t great. You really can’t beat living on base. Around here everything is very expensive so if you want a short commute and to live in a safe area, base housing is the way to go!

@@Shaina_Davis normally, u get tlf for a couple of weeks and then have to decide to rent or buy off-base till then. We decided to buy. I would suggest living off-base its not too bad.
