You have been ideologically corrupted. Insteof listening to political talking heads and some "news" organisation that is merely interested in generating attention for monetary gain, how about you listen to actual SCIENTIST? You would quickly realise that, 1. The world is probably not going to end anytime soon 2. We have it objectively better now pretty much in every part of the planet than at any other time before, and 3.You can easily end a ton of unnecessary suffering by raising awareness of actually relevant and acute issues, that would help humanity and the rest of the planet immensely if they were tackled (and it wouldn't even cost a lot of money) Or you could continue to live in a depressed delusion like you are now, which is entirely by choice.

So most generations hit that "holy shit the world is ending" phase in early adulthood, when you're suddenly smacked with the reality of the world, but you're somewhat decently equipped for it because, you know, adult. I feel for Gen Z because the internet has bombarded them with that impending doom from day one - they never stood a chance mentally, they never had that safe start where you can just piss around and have fun in your childhood bubble. I feel lucky to have grown up (at least a little bit) just narrowly before social media took over the world.

She got mocked for being a puppet foisted into the public eye by money and connection, who believes herself superior and self-righteous whilst spouting empty ideological talking points not founded in or tempered by reality, throwing a public tantrum on-stage surrounded by the hypocrisy of her benefactors and self. Further lambasted due to the protection and cover given to her which was argued as a means to reinforce her position and standing while concurrently being used as a shield against any detractors or even the mildest of criticisms. That is not to mention that the mocking and derision was primarily focused on the benefactors, with pity and dismissal being most often aimed at herself instead. That didn’t stop the willfully ignorant and easily led from letting the left use a child as a shield (as per the modern norm), however. Then again, when have the masses ever had a problem with misattribution, misrepresentation, strawmanning, and sacrificing children for personal and ideological benefit? Care more for pretty lies than harsh realities… as long as you can bask in a false sense of self-righteousness, just like your child effigy.

Late GenX here. That generation spans from the people born in the mid 60’s to those born in the early 80’s. So much have changed through those years. And plus, isn’t it kinda weird that two people born one year apart becoming a different “generation”? 1982: Gen X, 1983: Millennial!

Big fan of Finlay but we millenials weren't promised sh*t. We came of age around the 2008 economic crash and have known ever since that we wouldn't be able to own our own homes, would have to get at least a MA in order to get a decent paying job (if we were able to afford it) and would constantly be patronised in the media. Remember how we were always being told that we were skint due to buying lattes and eating avocados on toast? I reckon a more accurate take would be that we had to learn all of this stuff as it happened, with the realisation slowly burning into our minds that we were screwed, whereas Gen-Z already knew it was all hopeless because they were raised on the internet and didn't have any illusions that we may have had left over from the prior generations. One of the best young comedians I've seen for sure and Gen-Z have a great sense of humour. I feel like they are ahead of we millenials and are rolling with it - our generation f*cked up by not trying harder to deal with these realities where as the younger generation seems to have its finger on the pulse.

Well let me tell you, maybe not for you but we older millennials were definitely promised shit. When I was a kid, the Cold War had just ended, we were told it was a new era of peace, a new era of prosperity, that we were all going to go to college and all going to have houses. I was a month shy of 17 when 9/11 happened.
