Started hanging it in the barn, thought the guy above me had dropped a stick of it on me, realized the stalks were so long that hung about a foot into the lower bent. Looked his corn over, ears bigger than my forearm, asked him what happened to the bad crops he kept talking about. All he had to say : "It rained".

DO NOT DOUBT ME ..... the government will move to confiscate your land , or a very large chunk of it . or possibly force you to grow a certain % of crops for the govt . Sure, both will fill u up but one is just a filler, no energy as alcohol doesn't explode. I urge people to track ur fuel economy with ethanol and non ethanol fuel. I usually get about 2 to 3 miles extra per gallon with non-ethanol. Anyone know the ethanol content in gas. .... 10%, hmmm so I get 10% better fuel economy with non ethanol fuel....crazy! I'm no scientist, and u can scream what u want, but the numbers dont lie.
@HorsepowerGarageVideos

@@jamesthomas3749 It takes 1.5 gallons of ethanol to get the same amount of energy as 1 gallon of gas that's why ethanol decreases fuel economy, it takes more to do the same amount of work. The only thing ethanol is good for is cheap race gas since it's around 100 octane. Also the government has to subsidize ethanol production and force it to be blended into gasoline so you know it's not that great.

Central and north central Indiana fields are pretty bad. Especially the corn. Late plant and then heavy rain drowned alot of it back out again to be replanted in beans to be drowned out again. Now, the corn leaves are rolling up and the ground is cracking open. There is one field I know of that has just started to tassel out...most of the rest of the corn is shin to knee high. Some better, some worse. Very inconsistent height with large areas flooded out.
