The Fremantle Dockers took Milli Lucas under their wing to provide the brave youngster with a day she’ll never forget.
Just days after having brain surgery, the inspirational 12-year-old rubbed shoulders with Dockers stars and got to watch a win from her favourite side.
From tossing the coin - and getting a cuddle from Nat Fyfe - to posing for pictures with Bradley Hill and walking off with the team in celebration and joining the huddle for the team song.
Fyfe later said he was thrilled to help the youngster enjoy the game-day experience.
“Milli is someone who looked to me as a role model and I’m getting the opportunity to look to her and what she’s doing and what a powerful human she is,” he said.
“I was grateful for the opportunity for her to have the whole experience. From the build-up to the game and the coin toss and us getting a great win.
“I asked her if she was keen to get in the circle after the game and she said she wouldn’t miss it for the world.
“She’s a brave young girl and I think there are a lot of people throughout Western Australia who are following her story.”
