71/72 season,i was 8 year old and the old man took me to first millwall game v sunderland(1-1) to be honest dont remember nothing about the game or the goals but i know we was in the half-way line nr the front+remember how green the pitch seemed and stood right out, back then we only had a black+white telly like most people so it was like watching football in colour !!(if that makes sense)

Just come across this, Birmingham fan here, went to this game was 14 and we hitched it, luckily got a lift in Coventry from a blue nose, can't believe you could walk in the cold blow lane end and walk all the way round to the other end, first time I seen a knife at a match

Hello anthony. I was at the game as a lifelong Millwall fan so were The Blues fans together or scattered round the ground and where were they, please?

Great upload. Barry Bridges, Derek Possee and Eamon Dunphy, Millwall in all white and Brian Moore commentating. Went to my first game at the Den in September 1973, don't remember much about it but Millwall beat Sheffield Wednesday 1-0. Thanks for the upload.

Now THAT was My Millwall. I am in my 7th decade of attending but,in truth, the 30 years (next year) since the dreaded move have been instantly forgettable. How many REALLY good games since 1993? Beat West Ham 4/1 and Everton 3/2 and a few others but most seasons at The OLD DEN we had 6 or 7 Great games against the likes of Middlesbrough, Wolves and the rest. I STILL miss standing on top of the pitch and changing my position at 1/2 time. Now? Seating in a frozen stand watching a 1/0 or 0/0

If it wasn't for Millwall I'd have no interest in football at all nowadays. There was a time when I would watch match of the day and the football league highlights religiously every week, now I don't even bother checking the scores

@@jpberm-on-sea pretty much the same as me. I went from 9 to 19 in the Seventies and was nuts about football until the Premiership amd SKY happened. Downhill all the way since them. Absolutely refuse to watch England ever again. Haven't in over a decade now.
